Hi,

I recently just purchased the 15 ecoboost premium, and didn't get the performance parkage. I regretting this at the moment and not sure what to do.
Any advice?

I would like to add that I do not compete and am not looking to compete, but looking to just make this car last and enjoyable!
Don't regret it. It's a great set-up the way it is. 3.31 and 3.55 aren't that different. 3.31 is probably better for the torque range of the eB, if you aren't gong t race.

Responses are a lot faster than I thought and yeah I kind of did that on purpose to attract more attention! :headbang:
But I'm only regretting due to the jealousy of the pp.
Don't get me wrong, I love my car, but would've loved it more if I had the pp.
Unfortunately a lot of eb with the pp were gone around the time i was purchasing.

But build-wise i was looking for a new tune, adding new suspensions, cai, brakes but later on when i do need to switch them out, catch-can, and idk whatever follows after.......possibly a true dual exhaust with the x or the H.

I do have to admit the car is a bit bouncy and for some reason, im getting the wind seep in through the driver side window. So when i drive over 35mph i get this annoying whistling sound, already went to the dealership to get it checked out but they couldnt figure it out and it was getting late so i told em i'd be going back in today.
Make sure your air vents are not closed. This may be the whistling sound you hear.

Try a CAI, tune, after market exhaust and lowering springs. Non PP is lighter than the PP, so you have that going for you..

It depends on your personality. If I was kicking myself for thinking I made the wrong decision, no amount of aftermarket parts would take that feeling away. I would take it back, take the hit, and buy the car I actually wanted in the first place. That's just me though.

See it was the complete opposite for me, 3:31s are perfect for boost so I wanted nothing to do with 3:55s, especially because I got the ecoboost for better gas, plus the spoiler delete was another turn off too. I knew I was gonna mod the suspension too so it wasn't worth it to me to just stash PP parts, the only thing that was nice about it that I will miss were the brakes and the gauge pack BUT I'll just upgrade the brakes later and be happy.

Here in Canada they charged me $3000 for the PP package, yes its still worth it. Just the brakes alone are worth it. If I could re-do my order, I would get everything I already have but add ACC.

There is also the larger radiator though. Ford obviously felt that was important. Funny that we haven't seen any in depth analysis of the benefits vs the base radiator. Most of the companies are pushing their upgraded intercoolers right now but I know Mishimoto was doing some development on a high performance radiator for the EB

Great advice everyone thank you and it seems like pp or no pp you guys still love your cars.
My next move is to save up for a suspension upgrade then move along to maybe a CAI and a tune, but do you guys know if the tune will void the warranty? I know with am parts, the dealership cant void unless they figure out that it was specifically the am part that led to the issue but with the tune, its a different story?......or not?.....

Same story basically, a tune is not going to void the warranty on your factory intake if it falls apart

We have never had a client's vehicle fail due to our custom tuning, and we have been tuning the all of EcoBoost platforms since 2009. We do extensive R&D with the manufactures, so we know the limits and the sweet spots of these cars. Not every tuner has the level of experience nor knowledge of the logic inside of the EcoBoost ECU that we have.

We are the only tuning company in the community that can claim stake to two things:
1) We have been tuning the EcoBoosts since their inception.
2) We have never blown up a client's EcoBoost VIA our modifications.

We tune our client's vehicles 110% within that sweet spot of the car's limits, and still produce the quickest tune only vehicles. That is a testament to the quality and capabilities of our exclusive tuning software and experienced calibrators!

Ecoboost pp does NOT have the K brace, only GTs

To the OP, it might feel that way but at least you have the option to go more hardcore than the pp offers. I wont really touch anything I already "paid for", being the components in the package. You can upgrade those things beyond what you would have gotten and now you have 2 grand in your pocket AND lower car payments. Look at the bright side, plus you got a premium so its not like youre in a stripper, yours still has an lsd

Does the PP brake calipers say "Brembo" on them anywhere?
