Mustang ECOBOOST Fastback (100A): $25,995
Mustang ECOBOOST Fastback (200A): $29,995
Mustang ECOBOOST Fastback (201A): $31,790

ECOBOOST Performance Package (67E) $1995

Here are some of the Ecoboost numbers from the Mustang Pricing Revealed thread. While I do not think the pricing is outrageous, it is higher than I was hoping for. My hope was to get an EB Premium with PP for around 30K. It looks like I will pay at least 32K to make that happen (assuming I don't want any other options). Anybody else hoping to see lower ecoboost price? Anybody pleasantly surprised?

Honestly the pricing strategy and how the V6 options don't max too far out make the Ecoboost fit right at home. I think it's a great price for what you are getting.

You're in Baltimore so here is what you do. Join MCA to get an X-Plan pin. Go to Koons Ford of Baltimore and talk to Tom Snyder the sales manager. He'll order you an Ecoboost and you'll be close to your price.

I would agree that is still good value for money and that pricing strategy makes sense. I think I just have some sort of a mental block with paying more than 30K for this kind of car. After seeing how much the price drops on Mustangs once they hit the used market I think I will most likely play the waiting game and see what deals I can find. Which is fine by me. I've never actually custom ordered a car from a dealer before, and it looks like I'm still too cheap to start now. Haha!

Thanks for the tips likeaboss. I may end up doing that. I won't be looking to buy until next spring anyway. I'm trying to finish up my student loans before getting a car payment.

Cool, I talked with him today and he'll honor legit X-Plan pins on retail orders except for the 50th Anniversary.

Frankly, i'm a bit disappointed.

1. They've done everything they can to make you get the "Premium" trim (or Ecoboost) by making other options completely unavailable or purposefully undesirable.
2. They 'rounded up' the pricing on the Ecoboost "Premium" trim by an additional $800 as compared to the GT's "Premium" when it's same thing. Edit: There was a typo in GallopingFord's numbers. It is the same now, $4000.
3. A 2015 EB Premium Convertible will likely be extremely close to the 2015 GT Premium pricing unlike previous years. Seems unjust.
4. By restructuring the pricing, it looks like they're passing the costs and gaining the most profit on v6/eco premium buyers (their largest market) while hardly raising the price/burdening gt buyers. (yes, i know many on here are thrilled at that last point).

2014 V6 Premium starts at $26.6k.
2014 V6 Premium Convertible starts at $32.1k.
2014 GT Premium starts at $35.3k.

2015 EB starts at $26k
2015 EB Premium starts at $30k.
2015 EB Premium Convertible starts at (likely): ~$35/36k.
2015 GT Premium starts at $36.1k. EDIT: <- This is actually 36.9k, GallopingFord had a typo

I only hope that the European prices equal the US price setting, okay plus 21 % TVA.

I just don't see many people spending $30+k for a turbo I-4 car that is not in a luxury segment. Is the EB going to sport a Lincoln badge?

Don't forget there is also 10% import duties on cars that are produced outside of Europe and the delivery costs will be close to triple because they need to be shipped overseas.

But yeah otherwise there wouldn't be much of a reason for different prices. The Toyota/Scion GT86 basically costs the same around the world as well.

I agree. While I think it will be a good car, I was thinking that it would compete more with cars like the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. However, it is more than a little bit more expensive. Though I am not sure how much it costs to get a "Premium" Genesis Coupe. Maybe they are closer than I think.

Depending on gas mileage compared to the V6, I can see lots of people opting for an ecoboost premium car. People want tech in their cars in todays world. People will see no issue in paying extra for what they want. I am guessing that 1 year after release there will be rebates and incentives as well to help bring people in after sales start to slow.

I should add that my above statement is assuming people can afford the car payment for both the base and premium models.

Well it looks like a Genesis Coupe Premium with A/T has a MSRP in the low 29's. So I guess it isn't too far off then. Though that would still put it about a grand more if you wanted it equally equipped.
