My EB Premium auto started out averaging 30+ mpg. Now after 14 months, at 70 mph, I am getting 31+ mpg. In town, mpg drops to about 25-27 mpg. I tend to drive as if I had a raw egg under the gas pedal (sorry, V8 lovers). When I have switched to 'Sport', even a gentle touch to the pedal is like stomping. My mpg's drop at least 5 mpg and sometimes 10 mpg.

Are you using 87 octane? I found the accelerator to be a bit sensitive with 92.

I am averaging 22 overall with 87 and neither a lead foot, nor your eggshell foot.

If you are trying to hypermile it, try snow/wet mode.

I average 25 MPG with mixed driving.

Interestingly enough, it used to be 24 but I replaced the crappy Pirellis with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and it went up. Could be due to other factors though.

I am on factory tires and do most city driving and am getting an average of 24 mpg. When my wife drives it mostly on the highway she is getting @26 mpg. Not great, but not bad for 300 horse

Drove my 2015 to Vegas and back, 4600 miles, averaged 32.2 mpg. Most of that was over 80 mph. Don't have the performance pack though.

At least with automatics, the 2015 base EB has a 3.15 axle ratio; 3.31 is standard with EB Premium; 3.55 with PP.

To start with, 3.15 is not a particularly fuel-sipping number. Contrast that with 2.73 from the 2014 Mustang.

I assume you have the base EB. At your speed, my auto premium, non-PP would get 26-27 mpg.

I have EB/PP auto.My wife gets 25 commuting to work. Her commute us about 20 miles, 40% highway, 40% county. Roads, 20% city/ traffic. I get about 20 when I drive all country roads with a heavy foot. I run about 30 lbs in the tires for a smoother ride. Make sure you are running 32 in all 4 tires for optimal mpg, and reset the counter after fillips.
