I have a 22 Eco HPP without the Handling Pack / No Magnaride. I've had this car for 2 years now and ready to pull the trigger on some upgrades. However, I've been trying to figure out what is stock for suspension on this car.

Reading through many of the suspension posts, I've been trying to find out spring rate or what shocks / struts come as OEM.

Aside from Ford saying heavy duty front spring or bigger rear sway bar, I haven't been able to find specifics. Would it be comparable to a base GT or PP1?

I'm trying to get an idea, hoping it will help my decision on which way to go suspension wise. While a big reason to change is to help reduce the gap, I'm also looking for improvement in handling. I don't track or drag, basically road, twisties and such. Performance first, but comfort a close second as I do road trip with it.

I'm looking to reduce somewhere between 1/2 to 1 inch. I've considered BMR SP763 as I like the idea of what I'm guessing is slightly stiffer spring rate than what I currently have and having more travel that what a 1 inch drop might give. I understand this works well with PP1 dampers, which is why I'm trying to find out what I have.

I have also thought about FP Street Handling as well as the Track Handling Packs. I don't want to invest in the Street pack, if I already have most of the parts. Whereas the Track pack would be surely an upgrade. There are other options I'm considering as well, but I won't go through all of them, but Steeda and Roush could be options.

I am trying to keep things Linear as I believe that is how the Mustang comes and want to maintain a performance ride.

Any info anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. Ty

Front Eibach sway on full soft and Ford Performance control arm kit transforms the handling without killing comfort. Can also go for the Eibach or take off GT350/500 rear sway if you like it edgy.

Take off PP1 dampers (same as Ford Performance Street) work very well with HPP stock springs after that I'd go for Ford Track (for Ecoboost, not GT different part #s) dampers and springs if willing to give up some comfort for a mild drop.

265-30-19 also great size on stock wheels.

I haven't given too much thought on sways yet as I was more focused on the drop, as the gap does drive me a little crazy. I figured start one place and go from there, but haven't decided how far down the rabbit hole I wanted to travel. However, I did like the option of the Track Pack as that replaced everything. From what I read, it measures up to the 350? I didn't know there was a different FP Track pack for the Ecoboost, I thought it worked for both.

I did change out my OE wheel tires last year. Went RTR Tech 5 with 265/40/19. It gave a little more sidewall for the ride and nearly 3/4 inch wider on the tire selection from the Pirelli's.

Here is a link to a spreadsheet from a stickied post in the suspension sub.

There isnt a different track or street pack for eco its fits every model GT, so im not sure where that came from. Maybe different part numbers for the dampers and springs , Eco vs GT vs GT PP?

I just did the track pack a month ago on my gt, minus the rear toe links and bearings. The springs, dampers, and sway bars are a spec above the PP2, but off hand i don't remember what they are comparable to.

The only issue right now with the track pack is how long you want to wait for it. There is either a big demand or low production of some parts? So it may be a long wait for everything. I would factor that into your selection as well.

I did look at this, along with the thread that had alot of info that was helpful. Just nothing confirmed on what the Eco HPP has. Based on what most seem to say about the dampers for the PP, even if I did have those, its seems best to upgrade them anyway. Just couldn't find a clear consensus on the right shock for the BMR SP763. Some say the PP work the best, but also say that is the weak point. Whereas FP Track and Billstein are a little too much. I read Linear springs can be finicky with not having the right dampers. I've looked at few different vendors on the track pack but haven't confirmed availability yet. That could play a part in the decision making as well.

After looking through many posts, and reading up on spring rates, along with what I'm going to do with the car, I think I've decided on one of the following options:

Option 1, SP763 with Steeda Pro Active, I really like the idea of a minimum drop, which should put me .5 in back with a .5 or slightly more in front. Not overly stiff springs, while upgrading the shocks / struts at the same time. Hoping this gives balance of performance and ride quality.

Option 2, Steeda Sport Progressive with Pro Action. This will definitely clean up the gap issue enough for me. I like the idea of a little more comfort, especially on road trips, while having the ability for better handling. Improving the body roll without necessarily needing to upgrade the sways.

Option 3, Ford Performance Track Handling Pack. Will definitely put the car the way it maybe should've been built. I have no problems with OEM ride, and I've read many for and against about the comfort level.

Definitely several different options there, none really like the other.

I know many have done these set ups, If anyone would like to add their experience or pros / cons, I will gladly take it.

I lost a lot of time dealing with defective Koni who makes for steeda....went FP. The B6 I put on were shot after 18 mths.

FP is renowned excellent package you know it works be sure to get one for EB there are two different part #s. Not worth taking risk on aftermarket from vendors that have a miniscule fraction of R&D and testing as FP, plus warranty service is in every city at the Ford dealer.

I was just reading about the Koni Actives and seen that several people were having issues, mainly in the rear it seemed. I'm glad you mentioned about the B6, as I was looking at those as well. It appears the FP Track continues to come out on top as the better option for the SP763. Aside from the PP dampers, I haven't found what I call a perfect fit for them.

You're probably right about sticking with what works with Ford Performance.

I haven't been able to find one specific to the Eco. The one I keep seeing says its for both Eco and 5.0

The kit is for all gt and ecos. There is no different part number. Im not sure why they keep saying that.

Part of my decision was also the value. Springs, dampers, sway bars, new rear toe links with spherical bearings and spherical for the rear knuckles, also new nuts for every bolt. You really can't go wrong with it from a cost perspective for all you get.

I only mention the different part # because recently I saw her there were two # one specific to EB with Alpha part the difference. Worth calling Ford Performance or digging around here.

I've always been confused because so many different variances. I am ready to order the dampers for my stock springs after bouncing around at 100 on highway frost heaves.

I've been reading more and came across something you posted back a couple months after your experience with the B6 and Koni SA. I see you found some PP1 and decided to use those. What originally came off when you first replaced? I'm trying to find out what shocks/ struts the HPP has from factory. If not PP1 level, I've thought about the FP Street Handling Pack, versus the Track version as well.

Removed stock HPP dampers, installed B6, 18 mths later installed Koni SA.

Dealer parts dept with your VIN they will tell you if unique or shared with other models. Im under the impression that HPP dampers are not HP model specific.
