Actually the V8 technically has noise 'piped in' through the sound tube, while the EB is amplified through the speakers and noise-canceling (but I know what you meant, just for those who don't). I was turned off by the idea at first too but if it sounds good, I trust that the Ford guys made the right choice. Obviously it needs it or they wouldn't have done it, so my guess is we will probably be glad they did in the end.Honestly, I bet it almost sounds like that already. You can sorta hear the EB has a low rumble...it's just not that of the V8. When all these 2.3's rev their engine it still sounds like a 4 cylinder.
Also, finding out the EB has noise piped in...kinda is turning me off.
