EB not making peak boost?

So the past few days I've noticed that my car doesn't seem to be reaching as high of a psi level as it has in the past. My car would hit 18 psi on the digital gauge, now the highest I can get it to go is 15 or so on a full throttle 2nd gear pull, but most of the time the car keeps the boost under 10 psi. It's more exaggerated on the highway where the boost will not go past ~ 8 psi even when it's full throttle in 6th. Normally the boost would be way higher than that. It has been very cold the past couple of weeks, but I didn't think the ECU would cut back boost if the engine is fully warmed up. I checked under the hood for loose connections but didn't see any. The car drives fine otherwise and doesn't make any weird noises. Does what I'm experiencing sound strange to anyone else?

No codes, no TC light, car acts fine. I thought it might be a bad tank of gas too, but I just filled up with a new tank of gas today, 93 octane like always, and still doing it. :shrug:

No parts, car is bone stock. I've had boost hoses blow off and boost leaks from up-pipes and stuff like that in the past on other cars, it's definitely nothing like that. I almost think it's software related or something. If I wasn't going full throttle or looking at the boost gauge I probably wouldn't even notice anything was different, the drop in power is very slight.

Have you tried looking at the hose from the intercooler to the turbo?
I was having the same problem and eventually no boost at all when the hose detached completely. When first experiencing the problem i also checked under the hood and everything looked good but didn't bother to look at the intercooler since it's pretty deep down. It's interesting that when this hose becomes loose or even comes off completely the computer will not throw out a code or at least didnt for me.

No. Think a friend helped me figure it out. The colder air is denser. He said the EB has an intake air compensation table in it from the factory. Ford does it so you can make similar horsepower with less boost due to the cold air and don't over boost. Makes sense. The slight loss in power must have just been all in my head I guess from seeing the lower psi number on the gauge.

I'll keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. Otherwise I think it's what I just posted above /\
