Gotta tighten up that group son. 5.56MM holes?
Tad bigger and a ways out there. .300Win Mag at 1000 Meters. 16x scope from prone in sling. Standing at 1000M, been there and done that. Little wider shot group. 300 Mag tends to recoil heavy for standing.

I really miss being able to take these drives. With my work schedule so crazy now, it usually doesn't happen.

But yes, it is one of the best things in life in my opinion.

No. Only because I'm not a morning person. I can be a real a-hole in the morning until I "wake up." Maybe age will eventually convert me from a night owl to a morning person but who knows.

Night drives, heck yes! I love night drives in the middle of nowhere because it's pure darkness. Driving in the dark is a stress reliever for me. Less traffic, easier on my eyes, and the only concentrating is on the open road. Less idiots to watch out for. I'm a windows guy(car windows and computers) and would take a natural breeze over a/c any day of the week.

For many years...
Religiously on Sunday morning, I use to get up at 4am and take my "sportscar" on the open road for a some freestyle raging. Once had a trooper catch me raging, while on an overpass... no way he would catch me. The following week the exact same thing. The third week he was waiting for me...

We had a nice earnest conversation on the side of the highway. The following week, he just flashed his brights! (Went on for years.)
Thats pretty friggin awesome man, that cop obviously knew you weren't causing trouble, and being smart about when and where you got a little rowdy with the car. Im guessing the cop was a car guy too?

It is fantastic and especially when the smells of the season are in the air ... I do it usually on my motorcycle where the feeling is exaggerated even more so than in the car. GOOD FOR THE SOUL and we all need some of that ME time.

Definitely even better on a bike. Sadly, my wife made me sell the motorcycles when she caught me bungying our toddler to the seat of my FZR1000 to take him to day care.

We're coming up on 45 years in Dec.. Gonna keep her. Besides I hate dealing with the CL tire kickers.
