That won`t work, period. If the Vehicle was "In Transit" and it was a matter of (days) before it hit the Dealers lot, yeah, its doable. Just hope for bigger and better Rebates and Financing deals when your Car finally arrives.

Mmm bummer.

Salesmen already sent me a screen cap of a printed out document with the listed price including the rebates. Either he is unaware or it works.

In any case I'll be going to him to order my car soon. He said himself I wouldn't be paying any more than that price shown implying that I could be paying less.

The Rebates, Cash Back Offers and Promotional discounted financing through Ford Credit (only) applies if the Purchase & Sale Agreement indicating the Vehicles "delivery date" is made before the expiration date of the Promotion. The date your Ordered the Vehicle and its MSRP only stays firm if ordered using a valid Pin# using A Plan, X Plan, etc. otherwise, if there is a price increase, it too will go up.

Unaware likely. As said above, the rebates only work at the time the car is bought from the lot (either from stock or when delivered on custom order).

Why not spend $40 and get EAA/MCA and an X-plan PIN in about 5 min? At least you are locked in at invoice pricing essentially. Any rebates that pop up around when the car is delivered is gravy on top.

The package you mentioned is $36,528.87 without any fees/tax etc. at all; pure car price. That's why I thought it was weird you were out the door with more than my sparse 2 options I ordered and am out the door on X-plan at $39,200 without rebates- that would be well under invoice which no one is seeing right now since of demand.

On top of the $36,528.87 you are looking at $825 destination, $60 gas, $2,192 in tax, up to $100 fee the dealer can charge for X-plan doc fee, and the $275 or so X-plan admin fee.

Looking at somewhere in the range of $39,981 out the door. That's the best deal you'll get right now as it is at invoice pricing. No dealership down here is going to haggle with you as I can tell you they are selling every Mustang they get in for retail stock. They day I went to order mine they sold the showroom GT PP and were delivering an Ecoboost to a customer, and 3-4 others eyeballing mustangs on the lot. That was only 1 of the 4 or so local Ford dealerships on 1 Saturday. They aren't going to wheel and deal with you right now when demand is so high.

Realistically, either going to have to suck it up and pay the $40k, or drop some options to make the out the door cheaper. You're looking for the deal of the century which simply doesnt exist right now.

Yeah I'm definitely going to run with the deal on the table.

I actually have both MCA and EAA membership and I'm glad you brought that up because I only just became a member this past Friday. I read the fine print on the sheet of printed paper with the PIN # on it and it mentions showing a membership card @ the time of purchase of the vehicle.

Is that necessary? I mean I already have the PIN and can provide my personal PIN for verification of membership. Did you have to show a membership card?

I know you all are helping out alot and I just want some clarification - the $750 eCertificate WILL NOT work even if I set an order before the date of expiration on the eCert, correct?

Right now I'm looking @ $38,731.18 X-Plan price + rebate and the eCertificate - out the door which is amazing for all that I want on the vehicle. That is actually right at invoice MSRP.

Let me know

Thanks.

I need to know about this too. Does EAA send a membership card via mail? When should we expect it to arrive?

According to a lot of people around here, you are correct. In order to use the EAA $750 eCertificate the car should be delivered and marked as sold.

I didn't have to show a card but I know the dealer so they just took the X-plan PIN I generated. The EAA car only took maybe 2-3 weeks to get here by mail tops.

You get an email confirmation but it depends on the dealer if they will take it.

The rebates (Ford's own or otherwise) are only good upon marking the car as sold which cannot happen unless it is off the lot purchase or the car is a few days away from delivery.

You may want to confirm that price, my breakdown was right off of the X-plan spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...8SkM8n4wGjRFvpDxhrt980CNQ/edit#gid=1346768014 which doesnt include the $375 in dealer fees or 6% tax.

The setup you mentioned is $37,411.47 without tax or the $375 dealer fee (does include destination and gas); MSRP on it would be $40,396. Something is off on the $38k number out the door if that is pure X-plan. The math just isn't right as tax puts you over $39k without dealer fees

That exact setup you mentioned is a few dollars short of $40k out the door on X-plan without factoring any rebates (which you cannot count on any right now all expiring 1/5/15)

When I joined the EAA, back in 2007, one had to have been a member for at least six months until the member could get an Ford purchase X-plan PIN. I don't know if that minimum membership term still applies.

I have used my EAA membership for X-plan PINs multiple times and this year it will be twice - once for an Explorer for my wife and once for a Mustang for me. The limit is two PINs per year, I think.

I can not say anything about MCA membership but the EAA is well worth the cost. I really enjoy the monthly magazine (I like airplanes too) and the EAA membership provides big discounts (or free admission) to many aviation related museums around the country. This includes the Museum of Flight in Seattle - a wonderful place. The list of museums accepting the EAA membership for free or reduced admission does change; I check it before a trip to see if there is another one I want to see.

Yes, the EAA mails you a membership card. It is plastic, like a credit card. You get a new one each year. My Ford dealer requires me to provide it for each purchase. They make a photocopy and keep in their deal file. Your EAA card does indicate the date to which your membership originally dates so if there is still a minimum membership length to qualify for the PIN your card is the evidence for that.

And anyone who has the remotest interest in aviation owes it to himself to make at least one trip to the annual event in Oshkosh - generally about seven days at the end of July. It is magnificent.

Thanks for the info guys.

@stulaw the salesman must've taken $1250 in rebates/etc. off of the X-Plan MSRP.

Has anyone had issues with the dealer not being able to pull up the $750 rebate? I went to the dealer today and even though I had the pin and certificate number and all they couldn't find it in the system. They are going to call in to ford tomorrow morning so hopefully they straighten this out because I know it's valid

Actually, you don`t need to take physical possession of the Vehicle on 1/5 and take delivery on that day. The Purchase & Sale Agreement must be (dated) on that day and your Warrantee begins on that day even if you actually take delivery and drive it home a week later. I`d sacrifice 7 or 10 days of Warrantee for the $1250 in savings, $750 Rebate and additional $500 Big Dream Cash bonus. Who knows what will be offered beginning 1/6?

Good to know that. A silly question about the $7500 rebate, is it instant rebate that will adjust the total price or do you have to wait a mailed check?

If you have a Special Promotion Program Code that offers an additional $750 discount, it comes right off at time of sale including X-Plan pricing. All discounts including Dream Big $500 are subject to your local Sales Tax which will be added on (before) all promotional discounts are subtracted.
