That is way too much timing for a coyote. MBT is somewhere around 30 degrees.
They probably changed MBT, and desensitized the knock sensors because they're smarter than fords engineers.

OP - Do what your tuner says. He made the tune.

FWIW the f150 adds all the timing around 55% ethanol, just like Banish said it should be.

@drive_55_not might I ask what killed the car?

DUI with no insurance ran a red light as I was turning left and hit me right on the right rear tire as I was driving home from work at four-thirty in the afternoon.

That's why that tune would've required E80+, IIRC 1st and 2nd was 30 but the knock sensor was happy and added 5 or 6,

I've lost pretty much all the logs I had off that car.

That was summer blend pump Sheetz E83 also.

That other guy wanted to know what is an aggressive E85 tune was, You wont get much more aggressive than that I reckon.

And like I said, it pulled with those 3.55 gears

MBT is the spark required for max power. 36 is way too much for a coyote even with 116 octane. It might want 36 if you were running 100% nitro methane, or if you have high piston domes.

Just because it will take advance without knocking does not mean it's making more power.
The coyote has a very good combustion chamber especially with factory flat top pistons.

That said I have seen some "pro tuner" tunes with 32 on 93 gas. SMH

What @K4fxd said. When it stops gaining power, you stop advancing timing even if it's not knocking. No one really runs more than 30 on a coyote because you get max power there or even below that. And about E30 or so is all that's required to get you to 28-30 deg without knock.
