Ah, no dude, sorry. Even with advance trac off, there is still some constraints in the background that can come into play and pull timing. You really believe you have a special car from Ford? Seriously? You have to unplug to 100% get rid of input from the speed sensors (which is what that plug is) to disable traction control 100%. Your claims are false.

You can install a switch; I installed one on the F150 for the track so I don't have to mess with the plug all the time. Will do a similar set up to the Mach 1 so I don't have to mess with it.
Some cars, indeed, actually for real dont have any TC or advancetrak when the system is properly disable from the normal switches. Some, usually auto users claim otherwise and thats hard to reconcile.

Even if disabled properly through the switches, the system can and will turn back on if certain criteria are met (it errors and reboots), which is followed by dash messages and chimes which people might miss. 90% of the time that only happens over rough broken up pavement and its rare.

what it doesnt do (on a manual car) is consitently nibble or intefere when the switches are used correctly to fully disable things its all off until maybe it reboots and then its full nannies default setting.

So with that risk, the dyno plug is the only surefire guaranteed way where it cant come back on, but the majority of the time, at least with manual cars, disabling the TC/AdvTrak system can be done fully and completely with the switches.

i’ve wheeled S197s, Manual and auto S550s, driven GT350s, Mach1 and GT500 all on closed courses, and I can feel the difference with nearly any amount of intervention. I’ve had professional drivers drive my car. All said and done I’ve personally had the system reboot on me while driving countless times over 10+ years, and have used both methods quite a bit. I cant speak to auto cars but for manual cars, the switches work for most situations just fine and reboots are typically rare and obvious, assuming your hubs and speed sensorts are in good condition. If your sensors are dirty or hubs are getting loose I think reboots happen more easily, but they’re still obvious.

You only have to looking to the s550 drift club guys and there is plenty of info. Even when the dyno plug is out or switch added these cars still do funky things. Left foot braking causing system overides at speed so instead of the 2seconds braking it allows from factory … I think I read they change it to 5 mins so it never cuts in mid drift. Also remove front wheels speed sensors, as sometimes the control module freak out at high speed due to large wheel speed differential between front and back and it apply brake to the rears or shut the throttle mid drift.
I think the real fact and where the confusion comes from is you have to be going beyond the limits , high speed , a lot of opposite lock and quick change of dirrections to make these parameters interfere. 99% of people have never been there , nor do they want to go there. BUT the reality is that it’s always there lurking and sometimes is just does shit you don’t want it to do at the perfectly wrong time. On the street awesome to have a little help when you need it to keep you in check , but in the flip side it’s awesome to remove 99% of it so your only in control to me there is a raw element to it.

I haven’t done it yet , but I thought maybe some of you track guy have done it ?? Data log all the PID’s to do with , advanced trac , traction control , stability , throttle , brakes etc. you could see what it’s doing and how and when it cuts in. Has anyone dove into changing those ford set parameters and made the window more open ??
Food for thought.

I’m relatively certain that most of these parameters live in the ABS module. None of the current, mainstream, widely available PCM tuning platforms allow access to the ABS module.

It is possible we could see some kind of access to this in the future, but I think the chances are slim unless someone is willing to foot the development cost bill. There’s simply not a market for it outside of a small handful of people.
