It depends on the state. I don’t think CA has a cooldown period like that.
Edit: Used cars bought in CA between $10k and $30k are required to offer a $250 option for a 2 day return window. It sounds like it is meant for you to be able to buy used and take it to your mechanic the next day.

It depends on the state you're in and the dealer you're working with. And once the paperwork has been filed with the state, it is now a used car and you will take a big hit financially.

I looked it up after posting. I wasn’t sure if you were looking at new or used and threw the edit in for anyone else reading or searching that stumbles across this.

Highly unlikely. Unless you have a solid legal reason that the product was misrepresented or you are a regular, repeat customer at the dealership getting them to unwind the deal is very difficult as they have no reason to want to do it and don't have to.

Depends on the dealer. The dealer I use has a 5 day 500 mile no questions asked return policy.

For whatever the reason is it happens. Go back to your dealer. Speak to the owner and/or general manager and see what they are willing to do for you. also read the contract you signed to see if there is an out already built in.
