Anyone seen this before? There appears to be something wrapped in duct tape above the exhaust of the active exhaust car? Anything to worry about?

Are you the first owner? Looks to be protecting the actuator wires from the heat of the exhaust or if it touched the muffler/pipe itself.

No, I am just looking at the car at this point. Seems a bit cheesy, but the car is otherwise in nice condition it appears. Is there a problem with wires touching the exhaust on AE cars?

Right side of car, I shortened my H pipe mod to give more clearance :

Looks like you have been cleared to proceed! I’ve never actually looked at mine 100% to see if it was the same but it must be!

Do all you crazy kids find you use the Active Exhaust with regularity? My '16 doesn't have it.

It wasn't an option untill 2018. And yes I use it all the time especially when I have to start the car at night or early mornings

Yeah I use it all the time, every time I start the car I switch to my mode which is track exhaust … :giggle:

I will switch it to quiet mode if I’m coming home after 9:00 ish :like:

Yes I use it a lot. I have it set to start up in "quiet mode" between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. since I live in a condo and don't want to wake my neighbor (surprising how loud it is in "normal" which is the start up otherwise). And then I hit the "sport" mode while driving through the subdivision if I leave before 8. Some evenings I change it to sport heading home, or even "track" on some days, and other days I just leave it in "normal".

One of my friends who leaves in the morning after me says he can hear the exhaust note change as I'm leaving going past his house.
