Hey Fellas -

Anyone install one of these?

Outside of throwing on a turbo or supercharging the car - what is the point? I know it is a bit lighter as well.

(Maybe that is the point).

Are they that much better? Notice any day to day ride differences?

That being said, I've read a lot of comments about how great it is.

It isn't so much the weight savings overall but the reduction of inertial energy. Think of it the same as reducing friction within the engine or reducing internal rotating mass within the engine (crank/pistons/rods/etc.). Doesn't increase power any, but reduces the losses or essentially makes better use of the power produced by the engine.

I was hoping there would be more reviews of the carbon shaft; would be one of the few mods I'd be interested in doing down the road to my car if it came with decent benefits.

I believe they have or have talked about having a dampened version. Not sure if that came to fruition or not. I'm sure it would add some of the weight back though.

When I spoke with them the only model they sell for the GT350 is dampened which is to mean it is a foam core. It only adds a few ounces of weight.

This has come up many times. I've never seen any conclusive evidence that this does anything at all. The only thing I "have" seen is people saying there's some new sound or vibration that they are chasing.

If Ford OEMs one on a future car, I'd look at getting that one...otherwise...probably not.

They have stated they have sold several for the GT350. We just have not heard much in the way of feedback.
