A First gen RAM construction pickup (1981-1993) somehow hit the drivers-side door of my 2018 GT in my parking lot. The story is the driver had his door open and backed up. The RAM door is really messed up and is open to rain. The Mustang doesn't look too bad, but I'm wondering if this is a situation where I should be worried about frame damage. I noticed that when I open the drivers door yesterday there was a lot of water puddles on the metal sill by the plastic "Mustang" sill trim. I looked at the drivers side mirror and the black plastic trim is pulled out. I'm thinking the water- it rained pretty hard- is seeping in there and depositing out onto the metal sill. Could the water be getting in some other way? Is water collecting down there normal? There's no water on the sill in the pictures since it hasn't rained in two days. It also looks like the door-fender gap is a bit displaced; hard to say without knowing tolerances.
The alignment was really spot on before all this. I drove it today and didn't notice an alignment issue. But if such a heavy truck has a door almost falling off, it really has me wondering if the Mustang frame is tweaked.
What should I be looking for?
I had a 2017 Mustang GT painted at the "best body shop" in Fresno, CA a few years ago and the paint was not ok at all. I think it cracked all over after spraying and they tried to sand and recoat.
The RAM driver and I both have Progressive. The agent called me today and wants me to commit to a payout or a body shop ASAP and get this resolved "immediately."
I can do a lot of work on cars and can also paint, but I'm living in an apartment which makes all that hard. So, I could take a payout, but it would need to be substantial to make me feel comfortable that I will be able to deal with most possibilities.
Is Caliber Collision- in the progressive network- not really a good chain shop?
I'm thinking about taking Monday off and taking it to two body shops to ask for opinions quotes. Taking a day off is bad, but might be prudent.
Please advise.

Find out which body shop is BMW certified near you and take your car to a shop like that. If a high end manufacturer certifies the shop and they have ICAR gold certification I’d say you’re in good hands.

Thanks IPOGT. I found a Ford-certified collision center, “Coachworks,” nearby that I will confer with this week.

The water on the door rocker sill (metal area) is normal. It happens when the car is washed and when it rains. Each door has drainage holes at the bottom and the water flows down through the door and drains onto the metal section of the door sill.

If water is getting past the plastic "Mustang" door sill guard and into the interior - then that is a problem.

Ford does have s TSB out for that because if you open your door all the way and loo at the lower A-pillar, there are 2-3 "holes" that are covered by circular stickers. These stickers fall off and allow water into the cabin.

That door damage - a good body shop will remove just the skin and install a new skin, then blend the paint into the front fender and rear 1/4. Sometimes if a shop just paints a single panel, especially silver or metallic colors, or even as simple as white, one can tell that just the panel was painted due to the other surrounding panels being "older" paint.

Your door alignment is off now because the door panel was hit and the skin is now warped. If the door shell is bent, the shop should be able to tweak it back into place before they do a door skin. It's also possible the shop may just get a salvage door in same color and then just prep/blend the exterior color - depends on what they feel is best repair and least costly/labor intensive.

@Cobra Jet appreciate the advisement. Door alignment does seem tweaked. Talked to the Ford-certified body shop today. Looks like I’ll be getting it in early April. They gotta blend it.
