I’m experiencing the same issue, and it’s been quite frustrating. I removed the door panel in an attempt to identify the source of the noise, but unfortunately, I had no success. The sound appears to be coming from the area where the black box is located. However, even after removing the box, the noise persists, and I’m still unsure of the cause.

Have you tried pressing all over the door while it's rattling/driving and seeing if you can isolate a spot that pressure helps/makes it go away? Or stuff a t-shirt up in the door while it's all opened up and drive around? See if you can muffle/reduce the sound/isolate the area even more and go from there.

I will also point out from a lot of personal experience that sound travels, and what sounds like it comes from one area could be coming from the opposite end or something totally different.

If I was in your case, I'd probably gently remove the plastic water cover in the middle of the door to get access to the inside, and I'd shove a BUNCH of old t-shirts all up in there in all directions to see if anything helps muffle/remove the sound. Then pull out 1 by 1, go for a drive, see what sticks.

Well hoss, I’ve thoroughly pressed around the door panel but haven’t been able to pinpoint the dang source of that rattling. The sound appears to come from directly behind the black box. I removed the weather strip and discovered a metal piece with a screw on it. I’ve attached a photo—although it ain’t very clear, I believe the noise may be coming from that component.

I plan to use an air blower to clean it a little bit, and apply silicone spray hopefully it eliminate the rattle. I want to use grease, but the space is too tight.

P.S. I read somewhthere’s supposed to be a piece of foam in that area, but I haven’t been able to locate it. Can anyone clarify where exactly it should be?

thanks! Can you tell me the shape/size of the socket I need to loosen the bolts on the bottom of the door panel and the one inside the door handle?
There are two 10 mm bolts. One is located under the little plastic flap under the door handle. There is a little drivit on the upper front of the panel you use to pull it out with a small pull tool. The other one you will see once you remove the housing that holds your window/door lock buttons. Then you remove the 2 7mm bolts on the underside of the door panel. Then starting under the woofer, use a plastic pry tool to start popping out the door panel working your way towards the bottom towards the back of the door. Then work your way up the front side and back side then the panel will lift straight uo and off
