I have been dealing with the road vibration excuse for a while until I took my car to a particular dealership in Orange two days ago, and the tech confirmed the issue so they ordered a new drive shaft. However, they said the clanking noise when shifting gears is normal! I saw that you live in So Cal so I might be able to help.

Hope it does works changing driveshaft. I was going to bring home tools to measure runout on mine. Still trying to get my work to use analyzer at home over weekend.

Ford could try putting driveshaft with rear together and balance it as whole unit. I don't think at this time any of manufactures do this. Right now everything done separately in theory should come out ok when everything put together

Actually joke on you because what else you going try to come up with about me. You even void questions I ask you why because you don't have a clue. Bitterness I see it everyday in the forums that means you too. Because I'm a tech so that make me the enemy. You only see what forums say but I see both forum BS and what happens at dealership.

I'm still waiting for you to step up to the plate show us all how it's done. But you won't just more of the same ranting and bitterness
Really, what questions did you ask? I can see you are crumbling and grasping at straws now. You really don't have any real argument except to cry and complain because people have a vibration issue with their car. You even acknowledge there IS a problem ... so I don't think anyone really knows what the hell your real point or argument is about this whole subject ... except to bitch and moan worse than the people with the vibration.

Just what is your whole point of even posting in these threads except to tell everyone to stop complaining? Huh, what's your real point ... do you really even have one except to cry about being a poor tech that doesn't get any respect. Well guess what ... you really haven't earned any by the way you comment and threat people. If you would help them out instead you might be a bit more popular around here. Wake up man, you're killing yourself ---> :frusty:

The ironic thing is that the only people that are "crying", "complaining", "bitching"' and "moaning" are YOU and your little posse who claim that you have a problem that nobody can verify, measure, diagnose, or repair. "Grasping at straws"? Look in the mirror son. How interesting that the only people who claim to have this "vibration" are those that come on here and complain, seems more like a case of "I read it on the Internet, and therefore mine has the problem"

As I previously stated, a "vibration" means a lot of different things to different people. Without vibration readings for each individual car, it's IMPOSSIBLE to determine if an actual issue is present. Voting on a poll on an Internet forum is not a scientific approach in the least; which is why myself and 347CobraII question this issue and how valid it really is. Especially since we both have driven and ridden in many S550s with NO issue. If it was a design issue as many seem to claim, they would ALL do it. Period.

Not sure who the moderator of this forum is but this should be a forum to help people. FordTechOne should be banned for making statements like " Until that happens, it's simply people on a forum complaining about an issue that may or may not exist. And based upon my experience with S550 Mustangs (both GT and Ecoboost), the "issues" people on this forum are complaining about are non-existent" ...I am A Auto Tech 35+ years and I can assure you my Mustang had a drive line vibration. I have worked with Techs with a bad attitude like FordTechOne he is no help to this forum. Please look at his posts all he does is belittle people. Moderator please get rid of him.
Interesting how you've been here almost a year longer than me, yet I have OVER TWICE as many thanks from members. The fact that you claim all I do is "belittle people" and "I am no help" is comical, as are your posts. Just like with the "vibration issue", numbers speak louder than words. Sounds like the only person that needs to be "banned" is you, because you're obviously only here to whine, complain, and ask for sympathy for non-existent (or at least non-validated) "issues".

Bla, bla, bla bla .......................

I'm on my 3rd driveshaft & 2nd set of tires (and still have some vibration) - so YES the problem is real or else why would Ford have authorized all those repairs?

Is it a design issue, maybe but more likely its a QC issue on the drive components. Either way, it seems stupid of Ford to make each & every dealer 'learn' the PD process the hard way and not have some sort of documented roadmap to follow when a customer comes in and complains.

So, maybe you all in bug-tussle aren't seeing it, but the big dealers (like mine) certainly are and the have the vibration analyzer on hand to narrow down the root source.

I'm sooooooooo glad I didn't buy from the dealers you 2 work for, it's poor customer service and holier then thou attitudes like yours that make customers shop other brands !

LoL ... you get even less respect from M6G members than the other techs here, and for obvious reasons, like the non-sense you always seem to drum up.

There is a vibration problem ... even Ford has confirmed that. Nobody said it was a 'design problem' ... it's most likely a 'manufacturing and QC problem' since not all do it (oh wait, I forgot - you think none do it so it can't be either ).

At least 347CobraII acknowledges that there is a problem. You just think everyone is making shit up and no vibration issue even exists .... Pretty funny ... and like I said, if you guys would actually help people out here instead of bad mouthing them like they are all crazy then you might be seen in better light. But you'd rather make yourselves look bad and make yourself the 'enemy' around here ... guess that's the sad part of it all. Some people never learn from their own mistakes.

You obviously don't have be slightest clue what a dealership franchise consists of. Ford doesn't "authorize" anything, warranty repairs are determined solely by the individual dealer. So if you convince the dealer that there's an issue, they may be inclined to make repair attempt, regardless of whether the car is operating normally.

I'm also soooo glad you didn't buy from one of the dealerships that we have worked for, because instead of guessing and replacing components, we would have taken vibration analyzer reading and narrowed the concern down to a specific component be repaired it, or determined it to be a normal condition of the vehicle. Neither, of course, would have made you happy.

There is no "QC" issue with driveline components; if your claim was true the "issue" would be readily apparent on every car, not just the people complaining on this forum.

Let me break this down for you:

Post a source where Ford claimed there was a "vibration problem" on production S550 Mustangs. Doesn't exist, because it never happened.

"Manufacturing or QC problem"? Care to back that up with any facts?

How can anyone help if all you do it bitch and complain? It's not an "issue" that can be categorized because there is zero evidence that it even exists. So, once again, when someone posts some accurate vibration analyzer readings, I will be more than happy to assist with a resolution.

If it's not a design issue or a QC issue, then what is it? Oh, forgot again ... you think the problem is the customer making up non-existent problems again. Maybe it's caused by aliens trying to tractor beam the car off the road.

LoL ... there have been some people posting in the other large vibration thread with ACTUAL vibration analyzer data, and what they did to fix the vibration. Are you for real, or just like trolling?

With the immature responses we get from you, your "diagnosis" sounds about right.

Many here think you live and breath immaturity - for obvious reasons. You're just digging a big hole for yourself to be buried in. Funny stuff, and typical troll behavior. Wouldn't it make you feel better if you were actually liked here instead of coming across as a combatant all the time - all I see is you arguing with people in almost every thread you post in. I don't think you really like your job or helping people at all.

"People" doesn't mean YOU. Obviously you still don't understand this, but a concern on one vehicle can differ greatly from a concern on another vehicle. In other words, a "vibration" you claim to have can be 100% different from a vibration on another vehicle.
