Correct me if I'm wrong. It is my assumption, because I haven't heard/read a review that explained it clearly, that only automatics have selectable drive modes/selectable steeering and manuals only have selectable steering. Did i misunderstand the reviews or is that right?

Manual has Normal, Sport+, Track, and Snow/Ice (4) Available only on EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium.

Both have selectable drive modes. The only difference is the Auto also changes the shift points and firmness. On a manual the Driver does that..

My understanding is that both transmissions get line lock, but only the manual gets launch control.

Yes, but it does have traction control, and the adjustable steering modes which are not the same as the drive modes.
