Was thinking of getting drag setup this year for my auto 19 TT GT. Do you guys drive around with drag pack on the street or just put them on for a few 1/4 blasts. Don't plan on going to track much, more so to help with traction on the street. I have 19" nt05r on the back and spins a good amount.

Not a daily driver and will probably put 3-4k miles on it over summer.

Shouldn’t be a problem, foxbody owners have been doing it for years.

I am on MH racemasters on the street and its been good, skinnies on the front too. Just cant corner well but you do grip 100x better than normal summer tires in a straight line. Not sure how long they will last on the street but they hardly spin even in drag mode 1-2 shifts but I am NA not turboed. Probably need to be a bit more careful in the rain too if you get caught in that.

I think I am going to just pick up a set of F14 17 X 10 drag wheels with some 305-45-17 for the back. They look close enough to the black AMR wheels on the front. Going to keep the wider wheels on the front instead of skinnies.

Skinnys up front was worth .15 in the quarter on my car when it went high 9s. That was over 19x10 fronts.

I really won't be tracking the car. I do a spirited run from time to time on the road and was hoping to get the car to hook around the 40 mph range. Car probably making close to 750 wheel now and should be doing 8-850 wheel in the spring. Hoping the 305-45-17 will hold up better to the power.

You will need to haze the tires a couple times or do a burnout honestly.

I pull 1.87 60 foots with my DR's on the street and almost dead hook the 1-2 dragmode shifts if its above 60* out with mh racemasters with no burnout. Cant fully load up the torque converter on a launch though or just fully floor it or it starts spinning and hopping.. 1800 rpm brake lauch and it hooks and books on almost all surfaces ive tried. I would think 40 rolls roll on throttle up to like 800 rwhp wouldnt be an issue

What kind of power is your car making?

IDK maybe 480rwhp I ran [email protected] on the street at like 4k lbs, 40 rolls shouldnt be a problem I believe for 800 rwhp on good surfaces. This was 45* weather no burnout

800 will blow away drag radials from a roll with no heat in them.

My current 305-35-19 do pretty well at 60 now but nothing lower than 60. Hoping the new setup will do a little better.
