Dora Question

Have any of you that have ordered a Mustang had an
issue with the dealer giving you a copy of the DORA?
Dealer tells me we do not keep DORA files as to
minimize paper files.
This is an insult to my intelligence, So I cancelled the
order.
Any of you heard such a disrespectful response?

This should not be hard to get, at least it was easy when I asked for mine. I received mine a few days after ordering. The dealer should have a paper file or something in the computer saved. From my understanding, the dealer would want this for confirmation the order went through, and you can use that to confirm the correct options you selected are on the order.

I did read that some dealers might not want to if you are still negotiating the deal since pricing is on it , but not sure if that applies in this case. I would try another dealer since you cancelled the order and just let them know when you place the order, to provide that to you. GL

This is a huge issue....i cancelled my order today as well because a manager tried to make me believe that a Dora was not generated for my order. I ordered the car on 8/21/2015 and they kept telling me that they can't get it until it goes into production. They presented me with a preview sheet, but it clearly shows on the bottom of the preview that the car is not ordered. Such Bull... I literally picked up my deposit and drove to another dealer to order the car all over again. Now I will have to wait longer for my car.

The top shows preview and the bottom says it hasn't been submitted. The manager told me that Ford hasn't started building the 2016s. Little does he know that another dealer 10 minutes away had a 2016 California Special in stock. I had the final straw when he told me "Ford needs to step it up."

supposedly Ford downloads the builds that they are going to work on every Thursday. My only problem with that is that I got a confirmation from another dealer that says it is a confirmation not a preview.

When did you place your order? That document is not a confirmation any order was placed or received with Ford, thats what the Dora is ( Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement ) . I was given shown that paper before I agreed to place the order and giving my deposit, then I was provided the DORA after the order was actually placed.

I ordered it on 8/20/15 and got the DORA a couple days later. I then want back on the build and price site and the pictures changed and I made a change. I ended up changing it back to the original order the same morning because I was told it was probably a glitch on the site. I still have no vin and am getting pretty depressed. Looks like I won't get it until November now::(
