Don't know why it took three months to notice, but the passenger door on my '18 is misaligned. Can this be tackled on my own or is a dealer trip necessary?

Nope just live with my door. It came factory like that and doesn't bother me too much.

It bothers me because it breaks up the character line. The driver side is perfect.

I'd take it in. If you adjust it, you would also have to guarantee the window lines up correctly so it doesnt leak. And if you do take it in, make sure they check the window fit afterwards also.

My 2017 was so bad it hit the fender and took a chunk out of the fender paint . I had it fixed by the dealer when it was in their bodyshop when someone hit my bumper in a parking lot.

It's usually a matter of loosening the bolts on the door/body and aligning it and tightening them back down.

It is definitely a 2 person job . I'd have the dealer do it since it's a warranty item.

My passenger door was rubbing the body on the inner part of the door when I got mine. Dealer fixed everything in a snap when I noticed it.

Those bolts look hard to get to. Anyone done it without removing the fender?

I would really have the dealer do it. It's a door, not an engine replacement. Brand new car with a brand new warranty. Use it.

My issue was the passenger fender being misaligned to the door on my 2018 GT. I had the dealer take care of it.

I try to avoid the dealer if at all possible. For mechanical stuff under warranty, yes I’ll let them deal with it. But if this is just loosening a few bolts and adjusting things, I’d rather avoid having people who don’t give a crap about my car take it apart and risk scratches and dents blah blah.

Actually looks simple , loose bottom , tighten top big black bolts.

But when you loosen them, is there room to adjust them? Do they slide in a slot or something?
