I got this kit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F5MCL1E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00

I was going to...

1) wash car down
2) use the citrus wash & gloss in the foam blaster all over the exterior
3) let it sit for 5 minutes
4) use the mitt to scrub the trouble spots
5) wash her down
6) use the towel to hand dry her

Any thoughts of doing anything differently?

Also, is it OK (have not got the chemical guys detergent yet) to wash the mitt and towel in the washing machine with just regular detergent?

Make sure when you are washing it with the Mitt just use one motion from front to back of the car. This will help to minimize swirl marks/micro scratches in the paint. And of course make sure the Mitt is clean before every motion. Also use this technique with the drying towel.

I wash my microfiber mitts and towels in the washing machine on gentle cycle with minimal amounts of detergent and have no issues. Don't add any fabric softener though

I know lots of people have great success with a leaf blower during the drying step...I plan to try that out when I wash it next, instead of MF towels. Good luck!

Yeah, I saw the above and was debating. I guess I'll see how the towels go.
I actually just bought this leaf blower but haven't got a chance to try it on the car yet cause of winter. It does blow good though and should work great in warmer weather on a waxed car. If you dont have a coat of wax on the car the blower will be useless just pushing sheets of water around.

Be careful with GAS leaf blowers if yall are using them. The exhaust will spew unburnt gas and oil on your paint and etch it. I personally only use ELECTRIC leaf blowers on my cars.

Wash went well, took longer than expected lol. Glad I bought an extra 12 pack of the towels, drying took forever and I need almost all of them pretty much. Man that sucker took a lot of time and effort to dry. An electric dryer sounds really attractive now lol.

Invest in really good microfiber towels, if you prefer to hand wash, I am a big fan of adams polishes...like someone mentioned earlier.

These are personally the best and my favorite towels I use to dry my car with and I've tried many:

http://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/microfiber-towels/adam-s-single-soft-6-pack.html

I also get what you mean with drying the car, it takes me forever as well and that's why I bought an electric leaf blower, but I didn't have much luck with it, then I bought the Master Blaster, which is considered probably the best tool to use to dry your car and safely...although pricey.

I'm actually selling it because I don't have a garage outlet, then my home outlet are not capable of taking the power of the MB, I've used like 3x and it's literally in like new condition.

Here is the link:

I also bought this leaf blower from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EOLZAUQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

If your interested in the MB, I'll even throw in the leaf blower for free. PM me if interested.

Here is how to take care of your MF towels. Actually all of AMMO NY videos are very good if you take out the AMMO self-promotion.

Ive used a gas leaf blower many times to dry my car and have not seen any ill effects. are you saying that the unburnt gss and oil is in the exhuast gas or that it may be sprits out of the exhaust and should be kept a safe distance away?

electric leaf blower all the way! LOUD, but cheap and works.
But just like everything, it is not perfect so for any left over water spots, i just pad them with a waffle weave MF towel...

+4 on the leaf blower. Great in the small crevices.

Get a leaf blower to blow most of the water off before drying.
Also get two big drying towels.
