Me….I would do this. And not just any speaker, a $500 JL Audio C7-650cw speaker.
Long story short, the Phillips head pan screw slipped while under pressure causing my screw driver to sling sideways, down the cone, and into the dust cap.
This audio install has been one hiccup after another lol. But, the end is in sight…after I receive my replacement woofer 😒

I use the bit drivers with the sheath around them so I have something to hold onto and prevent the wobble. Of course, I do that because I've ported a speaker too. Sorry you had to do it on this one.
