No rough running, it is smooth and steady from start up.

I am 100% stock. To use the word rough might be harsh, it is very minor. I have had so many issues with my past vehicle that my senses are a bit heightened. But there is definitely something with the throttle for the first mile or two.
Thanks for all the feedback

Does your GT run rough before its up to temp? My GT acts/runs really odd before it gets up to temp. Almost like the gas pedal is sporadic and the rear end clunk is really bad when it is not warm. Just seems to be flaky.
No, never any rough running when cold. And that includes when it's -20F or even colder - it still does not run rough when it's that cold.

There is a thread somewhere that this is a new feature. It bucks or runs rough due to something with the oil pressure and some new valving they added. Once pressure drops into normal range bucking stops. Mine is rough for 1st 5+ min.

When mine is cold throttle seems super touchy also just clunky trans until it gets warmed up. Engine purrs so no problems there.

LOL! I was going to make this thread last week.

I too get the cold throttle response with my car. When I pull out of the neighborhood after sitting all night, you can feel a "hesitating pulsation" feeling in the acceleration. No matter if it is 98° or 38° outside, I get this on a cold start up. By the time I'm hitting the interstate, it is gone.

I'll have to search for this... Would like to read about it. Thanks

it's probably because of a secondary air pump. my last car had one. it will shut off once warm. i wonder if we have one.

I think people are not understanding what you mean. I have the same issue. It's not running rough, but driving rough. Running rough would be like mis-firing, erratic idle, etc. When cold I get hanging rpm's between shift, clutch engagement point seems all over the place and throttle response is goofy. Also to mention my trans is clunky (manual) and my brakes seem particularly grabby. Stock car with a catback.

I write it off as normal as almost every single car i've owned does this to some degree. My M3 did the same but far worse in cold weather to the point I had to let it warm up in the driveway.

I find mine idles a bit rough (consistent feeling but more vibration than when warm) when cold. It also has a funky idle when first started, idles around 1200, then drops to 1000, then decides to climb to 1500 for a few seconds, then slowly drop...I think it's confused lol.

I think some of the rough issues stems from the catalytic converter warm up cycle that has been introduced some time ago on newer cars, it dumps fuel in to warm up the cats faster, which will cause a rougher than normal idle.

My car is also more "lurchy" when cold, but I feel it's completely normal considering how tight everything is when cold.

Point taken, it is a difficult one to convey. However, this is something you should feel coming from a car with 100k miles, not a new car.
5TAR, did you do the res. delete?

"Hesitating pulsation"....that's a great term for it and sums up exactly what mine does from a cold start. I can push the throttle in a consistent manner and the response just sort of "blips"....doesn't last long though as people have already mentioned. I first noticed it on a rainy day a couple of weeks ago and I actually thought it was the traction control at first trying to keep the zero's from spinning on the wet road....

Mine also idles at start for the first minute at around 1200-1300 RPM, then drops to 1000 after 2 mins and stays there....then when I back out of my driveway and come to my first turn (150 ft down the road) it comes to the 650-750 RPM idle that should be the normal idle, or so i've read in other places on this forum.

Definitely glad to see i'm not the only one. I just hit 1,500 miles this weekend and was getting pretty nervous that there was already something wrong with my car at this stage in it's life.

I too have the same thing with my GT PP. I posted a ways back in December and received similar responses.

Seems to be normal, but it is really odd that there are a few on here posting that they do not have this at all?

Maybe it's happening and I don't have such high standards that I notice it.

I do notice that the brakes sometimes grab hard the first time you apply them.
