I am here in Florida and want to to tint my windows.

If I go with the max amount of tint allowed I fear the windows being almost black might look a little out of place with the rest of my bright ruby red car, is there any sense in only going with like 50% or 66% tint so it might look a little better or is that messing with the main purpose of tint?

thanks

I believe they also offer UV protection still, so it would still be beneficial at any percentage. But...the cooling properties would probably not be as great. I've had 35% tint before, and it really isn't all that dark, but still helped cooling. Any tint shop you go to should be able to show you samples to help you choose.

I don't think tinting will ruin the look with a Ruby Red either.

Well what I meant was 50% of whatever the max percentage allowed was.

I have mulled it over and I think if I am going to tint the windows then anything less then what is allowed would seem to be silly and partially defeat the many benefits of the tint, cosmetics not with standing.

I have been referred to a guy that is a expert window tinter by my neighbor, I will bounce all these questions off of him before purchasing anything, just wanted some thoughts before I went over there.

Dark tint looks good on Ruby Red IMO.

Always go as dark as you legally can. Or darker if you want to deal with the hassle of having to potentially remove if you get unlucky enough to get stopped for it.

Then again, I never see tinting windows as a cosmetic mod... it's basically a necessity in a hot climate.

The vast majority of our cars here in FL have darker than the legal 28%. Go with 30% and you'll be happy and it will look good.

I'm relocating from Ohio to Texas and will be in Texas on may 1st. Windows are scheduled to be tinted on May 2nd. 25% on door windows and limo dark on quarter and rear. :clap2:
