My first time vacuuming the car yesterday, I found this under the driver's seat.
It's a 2020 convertible, Premium, power seats...
Only 3,000 km (1800 miles).

Feel under the seat to where the seat is mounted to the seat track rail. It's possible that is a nut to one of the seat studs that secures the seat to the track?

It's not the seat track to floor pan bolt as those are Torx 50 or Torx Plus 55.

If the nut doesn't belong to the seat to seat track,, then it could have just been "excess" from the assembly line and it's been sitting under your seat since new.

I’ve just had my seat in bits (new base cover) and I don’t recall seeing any nuts like that.

Does it have any witness marks on it to suggest it’s ever been fitted ? It looks brand new to me :like:

Sometimes people, not me of course, who worked at body shops used to drop extra bolts and such in random crevices. May or may not be humorous...

My son bought a second hand car that used to belong to a field engineer - he was finding 'spare' nuts and bolts for weeks!
As a person who can currently be called a field engineer I find this both amusing...and representative.

Been out of field service engineering since 1993 but I can relate 😁

Thanks everyone for your input. I've had a feel around and everything seems secure, no obvious places where it may have come from. And WD is right, there are minimal marks on the nut, I suspect it was indeed never installed.
Just a stray...
