I find it amusing that the last Dodge "Demon" was on a Dart and a Duster.

I find it amusing that cartoon demon is tame looking.

I'd rather have my GT350 with the same power but 600-800 pounds lighter. The hello kitty and chevette wouldn't touch it.
Grand Sport would still be faster IMO seeing as it was 5-6 seconds a lap faster than the R even at VIR. An R at 500-600lbs lighter might close up that gap considerably though, maybe even slightly nudge ahead who knows. At some point in the cars life I may try to get the car on a diet and do a lot of the same suspension modifications that you are currently undertaking, lighter battery, etc. etc.

In the 1/4 mile? 526 hp, and 600 lbs lighter would be in 10's?

3200 lbs - 526 hp, that would be tough. Not to mention the mph to play with them on the freeway?
Probably low-mid 11's on street tires, probably break 10's with DR's. Only similar power/weight type vehicle I can think of is the last gen Z06 that was a littler under 3200lbs with 505hp and it was mid 11's at like 122-124mph. Dammit I would love if these cars were smaller and lighter haha

I have already removed 209 pounds.
Forgeline wheels
Rear seat delete
ARH headers and catless x pipe
Carbon fiber driveshaft
Recaro seats
Braille battery
Scott have you driven your car yet with the carbon fiber driveshaft by chance?? Might be a mod I'll be looking to do at some point as well if for nothing else just to improve "blipability" :)

Those lightweight batteries, are there any downsides to them in regards to a vehicle that doesn't get driven very often? I.e in the summer when I am away on rotation, would it be necessary to have it connected to a trickle charger any time I will be gone for 2 weeks or more?

I about threw up when I seen the wide body challenger. WTH...same chassis? It will be a 10 year chassis? Haha wow...thanks for ruining my minor excitement dodge. I'll not even consider that porker even with 200 more HP. Maybe the ADR will look a bit better but still the same chassis and most likely maybe 100 lbs shaved MAX. So, still 4400 lb car with 800HP. Will be quick but not anything a v6TT 3800lb 725 hp GT500 wouldn't handle. We'll see.... I just don't see any GT500 having 800HP. Just ain't gonna happen. I think 725 max is all she'll do unless ford eeks out a v8TT, which is what I've been craving.

I can't wait for this thing, I hope it better than the hellcat by leaps and bounds so I can justify buying it too. I'm so excited to see what its gonna do. Oh and the marketing for this is awesome. Love the way they are doing this. Anticipation but u know when the payoff is like Christmas.

Don't knock it until u drive it. This car is fast as all get out. It's scary and I love it. Oh and yes its a big bitch for sure, but this thing handles way better than you would think. After going to Bondurant i saw what this thing could do. Just needs a tire swap and it shines.

Anyone complaining about this car needs to get their man card revoked. Or maybe ask the wife if they can have their balls back.:D

Straight line speed is what this thing is set to do. They want to dominate the aspect and be the king. If it runs mid 10's, it will indeed be the king and only 200-400k Hyper cars can match it.

With rumors of the Zora ZR1 debuting, Dodge will anti it up and if it does run 10.5 to 10.8 from the showroom floor, I don't see Chevy or Ford beating it. Match it perhaps, but not beating it.

For the Demon to get into the 10's, it will have to lose at least 200 lbs and add more HP/Torque. Not an easy feat since the Hellcat auto average low - mid 11's. It's all speculation at this point and even if it runs high 10's, it's still a few tenth faster the Hellcat and will def. draw buyers in.

For those who are hating on this car since it can't turn with the ZL1's, GT350's, Vettes.. Just remember Dodge can play that game too.. It's called the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR that ran a 7:12 at Nurburgring.

Interesting they have a outgoing handling car and a straight line car.. If they can only ever combine the two...

Ahhh honey dear, schnuckums if you could. ...if you would.. ah.....geee.......shucks....
Could i perhaps receive my testicles back lovey?

10 year chassis hahahaha. All I see is a farmer milking a cow in my mind right now. Giles sitting on a bucket that's chipped all up....wore out. His ass hurts from it because it's jabbing into his ass.... but he sits there and milks the cow anyway.

I had a 2011 392, I know what the.challenger feels like. They are boats like the mid 70s charger.
I did like the space, which this ADR will probably have the most important difference of the challenger deleted to save weight. My '14 G500 had 760hp with 1k in upgrades and was 700 lbs less, so I know what decently fast is.

The thought of the ADR is appealing (if it looks like a challenger drag pack). The wide body looks like it should have monster truck tires on it. Giles is a smart guy, he's milking this 10 year old chassis all he can. I remember back in 2013 fiat had a list of cars that were changing chassis and the challenger was supposed to get updated in 2016 my and that still would have been a too long. I don't think there are maybe a handful of cars that can claim that long of a run. So the good news is plenty of chassis to rebuild the cars in 20 years.
