It isn't the corn, it's the corrosion inhibitor used. It is a well known issue in the petrochemical industry, and it does carbon coat the intake valves. https://saemobilus.sae.org/content/2013-01-0893I’m at 2700 and dip stick oil level has not moved. As OP stated the deposits on the valves are from excessive oil being pumped through pcv. He never stated how many miles he ran on pump before going E85. Corn is not going to carbon coat valves like that detergent or not.
However, the OP seems to have excessive oil consumption. If it is all being consumed via the PCV system, I would question if the PCV itself has issues.
