I am patiently (ok, not really patiently, I'm quite nuts about it..) awaiting my 2016 GTP/PP car to arrive in about 30-45 days, as I do, I am pondering my upcoming track days with the car.

My outgoing '04 Mach 1 is departing me with it's '00 cobra R 18x9.5 wheels with conti slicks. I can't help but wonder if those same type wheels would clear the 15" PP front brakes/calipers?

Reason being: the 275/35/18 slicks I ran were dirt cheap and plentiful.

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but as I tell my kids "It don't hurt to ask"

Forgestar CF5's are the only ones I've seen on here.

Drag radial? Drag racing is fun.. Go out for a half hour at a time on a road course and get back to me!

Road racing son! HPDE/Track Day.

You have 2 viable options currently

HRE FF15

18x10 or 18x10.5 ( the 18x10.5 needs a 10-15 mm spacer upfront)

or

Forgestar CF5

18x10

Let me know if I can be of any help, im a authorized dealer for both companies.

Enkei PF01's in 18x9 ET45 fit with a 5mm spacer or a light sanding of the caliper bridge:

They fit on the car fine with a 5mm spacer and a set of aftermarket lug nuts (required by most aftermarket wheels anyway).

Tight tolerances!:

But they DO fit and DO work:

I suspect the 18x10.5 ET38's fit too and probably fit better.

Nicely done!
I wonder if 18x9 ET35 would work without the spacer

I will have a street set of wheels (20" Advan GT's) and will be using Apex EC-7 wheels for track duty. It's a favorite wheel among the BMW track crowd that is now made for Mustang fitments. Affordable and relatively light (22.1lbs for 18x10) and they clear Brembo brakes. Three colors available (silver, anthracite and black) VERY similar to the BBS Ford Racing wheel at half the cost.

Probably. Didn't have a set to put on the car. These were re-purposed for my winter wheels from my days of running in SCCA Autocross class STX which limited my 2009 to 9" wide wheels.

subb'd having a difficult time finding 18s as well. Seems like we only have 2 options if we want something 18x10.5 or 18x11. ff15's or cf5's
