Off. The extra hours on the main lamps aren't worth it. It's like $900 a side to replace the assembly since it's non serviceable.

I keep mine off. No reason to look like you’re driving around with your headlights on. The tri bars are plenty.

I don't think there's a way to turn off the tri bars though

The tri bars are on when the car is powered on though? Like they’re on all the time.
Don’t think you can turn them off.

The only time they shut off is if the handbrake is set, as far as I know.

The DRLs are in the headlights and are separate from the tri-bars. There is no way to turn the tri-bars off.

There ya go, if the OP really wants to disable the light.

Find the HB switch, to test remove the plug. Then verify to see if any other systems are disabled.
If no done
If yes, figure out the wire that powers the light.

The purpose of the DRL’s is to make you more visible to other drivers. When you are driving you can’t see them. Why turn them off?

Also starting in 2018 our headlights are LED so concerns about wear & tear are, at best, minimal.

Not on mine. Hand brake on, tri-bars on.

Unless you're referring to the actual DRLs, which can be turned off in one of the options menus.

Personally, I find DRLs ugly, so mine are off. I do like the tri-bars, though.

The biggest problem I see with DRLs are that, when they are coupled with all the constantly illuminated dashboards around these days, the first half hour to an hour after sunset has puddingheads driving around in the dark using the minimal illumination from the DRLs instead of turning on their headlights.

Isn't there a fuse specifically for the DRLs? If you pull that out you will disable the DRLs from ever coming on right?

Should be as simple as that.
