I wanted to see if I could make a DIY shift light similar to the one found on the 2017 gt350s for my 2015 mustang v6, so I started off by hacking and playing with the CAN bus accessed through the OBDII port.
I used a micro-controller and a CAN transceiver and was able to find the CAN ID that contained the rpm data and lit the on-board LED as a shift-light.
Hopefully once I get my hands on an LED array, it'll work like the shift light on the gt350!
