my first mod was a freebee...thankfully theres no mass air meter to screw with here. its not nearly as awesome as zacks custom intake...but this will work for now...and i dont think theres much for gains left with this setup. a custom pipe with less bend would probably help a smidge...but im not sure its worth the effort. i work with composites at work..so i might make a carbon fiber intake tube at some point. i had the perfect length 3.5" madrel pipe left over from a old intake i made for one of my 95 gt's. im using a cheapo spectre filter(a huge one lol) and i have it as far into the fender as possible. watching the iat's compared to stock....im really not seeing any more heat. after a spirited drive...i pulled over and the filter and pipe were cold...and the manifold was also cool. so im not too worried about the heat. seat of the pants tells me theres more mid range tq..amd maybe a little more power up top. once the car is broken in (still keeping shifts under 6k) ill put the stock box back on and do a track aps 1/4 mile comparo. i doubt any of the aftermarket intakes will make more hp that this setup...atleast if there were more gains...it probably wouldnt be worth the 350$. it has a much higher pitched intake noise than the stock box. its xeryainly a bit louder.
