No but both times I cruised around other parts of the airfield at 30-50mph before stopping....cool down
In the s197 cars you can smell the cats while slowing down after a hard run over 150. I noticed it in my 2011 and
2014 GT's.

Well it depends on the limiting factor.

If you have a limiter or are rpm limited, you could hit that rather quickly.
If you are drag limited, and can pull to or beyond the power peak that will take longer.
But if you are drag limited and CAN'T pull to the power peak (like us in the very tall 6th, if the stock limiter is disabled), that will take a LONG time to reach the peak speed.
It's from a spreadsheet acceleration simulation of mine that considers many things. After it has found a limiting speed (where acceleration drops to zero), it's easy enough to go back in and find out what caused the limit.

I've been playing around with this little sim for longer than you'd likely guess (think electric desktop calculators), and in its current form it looks like this ↓↓↓ . Not all of the inputs are shown.
