Can't see them doing the 2.7 considering that would be really close to the GT unless the GT got the HP bump also. Then I could see that more then likely.

Even if the 2.3 got the RS power, it's still a ton heavier then the RS.

I still think this is a 10 speed mule out with the new front/rear fascia on a GT.

Or I could see it being this. Ford definitely needs to get the 10Speed in the Mustang.

I can also see Ford having a refresh ready to go. Ford has really stepped up how fast they bring refresh's to their vehicles as has the industry. The last years of the S197 had a refresh in 2010, then again in 2013. The Focus which was all new in 2012, has already been refreshed for 2015. I believe the Fusion is slated for a refresh in 2017. Even over at GM, their full size pick up trucks already have a face lift after only 2 years. That just seems to be the way the industry is going. 2 to 3 years and it is time for some tweaks to a model.

Here's to hoping the refresh is for 2017MY and not 2018.. I don't know if I can delay for another full year.

We caught this disguised Ruby Red S550 Mustang prototype wearing heavy front and rear camouflage testing near Dearborn and outfitted with light bars front and rear. The camouflage extends to the front/rear fenders and trunk -- pointing to redesigned lights and fascia.

Is this our first glimpse of another S550 variant or an early look at the first mid-model refresh?

Interesting how early we saw a mule for the 2018 refresh and what turned out to be accurate and what didn't.

Someone in this thread back in 2015 said they were hearing about a 465 horsepower Coyote. Turned out to be somewhat accurate.
