Hi, this is my first thread here!!

Just bought my first mustang GT and noticed a harness/plug disconnected in the driver side next to the air intake.

I don’t have any error message and everything seems to be working as expected.
Any idea what this harness is for?

Mine has that too. Probably a factory test plug.

🤔 It looks like someone just cut the wire and wrapped with black tape but if yours has the same it should be there for a reason

That’s called the nanny plug or dyno plug. Tuners usually unplug it when the car is on the dyno. It disables ABS, Adv. Trac, Traction control and Line Lock to name a few. Some people also unplug it at the drag strip to bypass ABS and TC, so that these features don’t slow the car down if traction is lost. Just be aware that if you unplug it, the factory Line Lock will also be disabled.
