Went to a car show last year. One of the guys in our group had his oil changed by the dealer, then we all drove 2 hours to get to the show. While prepping the car he noticed a metal piece sticking out in the engine bay next to the fender. It was the tip of his dipstick the yellow part feel down in the fender well.
Always especially if you let a dealer change your oil, check and make sure the dipstick and oil cap are put back.

In my previous experience with my wife's two different cars, both were leased Subaru Tribeca and Volvo XC70. My wife went to Walmart car center for the oil change. In two occasions "mechanic' left oil cap on the top of the engine. She drove for a while until noticed something wrong. As the result oil spilled all over engine compartment.

Yea Walmart car care is at the bottom of list of where to get car serviced and Jiffy Lube ain't much higher.

Walmart?
True story....A very good friends son had a Walmart oil change a couple weeks ago.
When he got home, he washed his car then noticed the puddle of oil in his driveway.
Went back to Walmart and the department manager was on break. The second in command started to apologize and was taking care of it when the bonehead that cross threaded the drain plug called my buddies son a f’ing liar. He also stated he’d jump over the chain and go after him.
Cooler heads prevailed which was a wise move on everyone’s part. You see my buddies son is a special forces Army veteran, sniper and MMA fighter. One would have ended up in jail while an ambulance would have been called for the employee.
So ya....Walmart oil change? Not on a bet.
