Diode Dynamics LED Side Marker

I'd like to know what y'all think of these Diode Dynamics LED markers. Any problems with LED's burning out or installation issues?

I have them and they are perfect. I found it better to lay under car so I could see the release tab for the light. I did notice the wire/ connector isn’t very long from car. Maybe it’s just my car but there is not much slack to work with.

Installed the gray ones on my magnetic vert. Installation of this MADE IN USA mod was simple and they look great. Just watch the video.

NOTE: Be sure to apply a dab of dielectric grease to the connectors before installation.

One of the first mods I did, no issues so far...I went with smoked the ones....Easy plug & play installation.

I had the smoked ones on my black 2013 for 3 yrs,no problems.This time I went red on my white 2016. Sorry but its difficult to get a good pic.I like the bright sharp line.

Have you reached out to DD either via here or by calling them about the issue? To have (2) go out on the same side, there could be an issue where water is getting into their housing, or there's an issue with their lamp harness or connector. Aside from a manufacturing defect, the issue could also be with your vehicle harness or connector shorting the light. Again water intrusion would be my first guess.

I would also ask DD if you can apply silicone to the opening on the housing where the small harness comes out of it. This would ensure no water can get into the lamp assembly. I don't know if doing so would void any DD warranty if not running it by them first (in the event another assembly fails).

Try using dielectric grease on your connectors. One tube will last years.
