Is the only difference between sport and track mode the traction control? Went out to a local speed way and turned some laps and actually found that normal mode was some of my best laps? The car felt a little lose but really did a nice job of sliding up the turns. This is a 3/8 mile track with moderate banking. Tonight I'm going out to run some hot laps against some local guys, one of which is a 15 Hennessy HPE 750 Z28. Really want to beat this guy.
These are 3 timed hot laps not spectacular side by side races.
My lap times were 14.2/14.7 sport
13.9/14.2 normal

Sport mode will do...

Steering: Sport
Shocks: Sport
TC and DSC: Sport and Sport
Exhaust: Sport

The absolute most aggressive settings for the car would be to set the car in Track and hold the TC button down for 5 seconds to turn DSC off.

Side note, just because you have a "Track Mode" doesn't mean it's always ideal. When I do autocross, I put the car into Sport and turn off TC and DSC. The surface is too beat up to take advantage of Track shocks.

Normal mode is really soft, and the only thing I can think of is this let it get to a better part of the camber curve.

From the factory it has no where near enough negative camber in front. Front strut suspension has a good camber curve if you haven't lowered it, making it gain negative camber in compression.

Also push through the understeer feeling, The pro driver at the racing school really hammered the front tires, way way past when they start lying to you about grip. He overcooked one corner a little bit and it seemed to give a ton of warning letting him scrub a little speed to keep it on the pavement.

I thought the DSC in track mode was more permissive than in sport mode. Feels this way in mine and thought I read it somewhere.
Can someone confirm ?

That is correct, it is the least intrusive in track mode.

I changed yours to show my understanding. Each level, (Normal-Sport-Track) changes the steering, shocks, throttle response, traction control, and AdvanceTrac parameters. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I personally like to run in Track Mode but change my steering and shocks to Sport.

Does Sport mode and/or Track mode change the throttle response? If so, is there a difference between Sport mode's throttle response and Track mode's?

It feels to me like Sport mode's throttle might be more responsive compared to Normal mode. Not sure if it's just my imagination or if the throttle mapping is actually changed.

How different is it when hitting the corners with TC off? Truthfully I was a bit nervous to put it in track mode when I did my first track day. I ran in sport the whole time.

Same question here.

Sport mode on track in my experience won't let you get out of line *at all*. As soon as it detects some slip, it pulls throttle. Track mode lets you have quiet a lot of leeway before it steps in. It's there basically only if you make a somewhat large mistake where as in Sport mode, just putting around the track I could get ESC to trip nearly every lap.

what are the best DRAG racing settings ?

I always do SPORT, with holding traction control for 5 sec, so ADVANCE TRAC is all off.

The GT350 has a Drag drive mode. I've never used it, but supposedly it firms up the rear suspension on launch and then softens it up as you go down the strip for stability.

Sport and leave it. And keep the traction control ON, especially if you're dipping into the 4K RPM ranges around bends and turns. Putting your foot into it at that RPM is...tricky. I would know. :ninja:
