Sport Mode and Launch Control

I like the sport mode the best in my car. However, every time you get in the car, it defaults back to the regular mode. Has anyone figured out how to set the sport mode as the default. For the haters, I did read the manual.

Also, has anyone tried the launch control. You set it up through the track apps, but there is also an LC button next to the Traction control button on the dash, not sure how they are related/used. Does the Launch Control just lock the front brakes and not the back so you can do an impressive burnout?

My car is base only...but I love her...except the damn stereo.

I'd assume you setup up launch control through the track apps then hit the LC button when your ready to launch. It's not for burn outs, that would be the line lock. Hit the LC and hold in the clutch and I'm sure the car won't rev past the rpm you set up the launch control for.

I to would like to know if there is a way to lock it in sport mode. I heard a rumor about Ford Performance developing a Track Key similar to that in the Boss 302's.

Can anyone shed some light on that?

It's exactly 1 button press, right on the steering wheel, which will take all of 1/10th of a second. I'm sure we could all use the exercise ;)
