Other than the intercooler being bigger, it’s just a different drive system that allows better belt wrap and if it does snap then you’d be able to drive home.

The headunit between Stage 1 and 2 is the same headunit. The differences are going to be the larger intercooler that supports more power than the stage 1/ H.O. intercooler along with the 8-rib dedicated drive system.

You can do the intercooler upgrade on the ho as well.

Hit me up and we can go over your goals with the car and get you a kit dialed in.

The same intercooler is available on both, belt wrap is about the same. The stage2 has a stronger belt but you can upgrade the h.o to 8rib

You just repeated what I said. I know the same intercooler is available for both but the bigger intercooler is included with the stage 2 package which is why I said “ bigger intercooler” in my post. Help me understand why you quoted my post like I said something wrong.

Because you did. You did not say anything about the larger intercooler being available. On some H.O kits the stage2 intercooler is standard. You said that stage 2 has more belt wrap and that is not correct. They have about the same. The only thing you said that was true was if you break a supercharger belt you can still drive home. Though I have never seen someone break a supercharger belt. I have seen them break the accessories belt and be stranded just like the H.O kit would do.
Anyone running a H.O kit should upgrade to a gates green or rpm belt. I have never seen the rpm belt snap

I have personally never seen or heard of a stage 2 setup brake or sling a belt in a racing scenario, though I’m sure it’s possible if alignment or tension is wrong. Those problems I have seen upon initial startup after install.

Im not entirely sure how an HO has same or more belt to pulley contact. A stage 2 has an 8rib making contact on an 8” lower and a 4.75 upper and an HO kit has a 6rib on a 6.78” lower and a 3.9 or 4.0”(?) upper.

After about 4K miles on my Stage 2, the supplied Dayco belt still looks near new. But I'm only running about 9.5 psi.

Not talking about the supercharger belt. No one said anything about belt to pulley contact. Said wrap. Meaning belt wrap around the pulley. Your not reading what is there you are interpreting.

That’s great but I was not talking about the stage2 supercharger belt. I’m talking about the factory belt

I’d like to know how it has more “wrap” but pulley down 2-3 sizes and it results in slip. Considering the circumference of both the drive and the driven pulleys are both bigger on the stage 2.

Again you’re not reading what is actually there. show me where anyone said anything about the HO kit having more pulley wrap. You can pull it down two or three sizes easily without worrying about belt slipped plenty of people run a 3.7 without any belt slip. add that to a 20% overdrive balancer and you can make some real boost. Then for the price difference between a HO kit and a stage2 you can convert the HO kit to 8rib with money to spare. Most people can choose the stage2 kit if that is what they want. But if they are in a carb state then they can only get the Carb kit. That’s ok because the carb kit can make the same power as the stage2 are doing it cheaper
