Did the previous owner upgrade or downgrade?

I’ve got a 2019 convertible GT. It had the black accent package with the black rims. I think the previous owner must’ve messed them up but he replaced them with some niche 19 x 8.5 rims. With a +35 mm offset. It has 255/40 19’s all around. Is there any advantages to the set up versus OEM? And if not… What would an ideal size and set up the four the car in preparation for a supercharge kit?

Do you have spacers on front? If so, at least you can rotate from to bad.

If there isn't, then they are not all +35, and not rotate-able. I'd imagine a 255 is no where near wide enough for FI. Also those rotors, watch them for cracks starting from the holes.

It sounds like I’m going to need some wider rims then…? These are only 8.5’s. I see most are running 9.5” on the front and 10’s on the back. I’m not sure the max tire on the 8.5”

255s are honestly kinda small for a GT in general, let alone a boosted one.
that’s what I was thinking but I wasn’t sure what they came with stock.

Junk wheels and junk tires, buy something decent and sell those on marketplace

19x10 with 285/35 on the front and 19x11 with a 305/35 on the back
I was afraid to hear that about them… but I figured as much. What offset should I look for to try to flush out and have clearances…? Thanks for the help!

any vendor on this forum should be able to hook you up but this is a good start:

i went with a lmr package. they spec out there wheels with the proper offset for our cars. im very happy with my sve 350 19" i have 285s up front and 305 in the rear looks great. if you want traction you will need a 17" wheel with a drag radial so if you choose a set of wheels try to find a matching wheel offered in 17' incase you want to get drag radials and care about matching.( garage mess cleaned up since lol)

that’s a nice setup. Looks clean. I’ll probably stick with the 19’s for the look and it seems like the 285/305 setup is the most common. Any chance you recall the offsets?
