Pitiful reception. Wish someone would post the personal information of the project manager in charge of the radio for the Mustang. Would love to give them a call.

Are you referring to Sirius or regular am/fm ?

Am/fm.
Fm works for the most part from what I recall, but the am channels are pretty weak.

You know you're old when you listen to am radio. I listen to am radio myself.

Yeah, I'm 47, but do listen to music most of the time, but it's on my thumb drive. I got in a habit years ago to listen to the news and talk channels on am radio on the way to work in the morning. But on the way home it's something completely different and much louder.

Im a bit older, not much though. I listen to that as well. On my way home its definitely Fm or silence so i can enjoy the sound of the car.

I love jammin music, ready to drop major bucks on my car to have it, but also like to listen to podcasts and occasionally FM and even AM. Factory reception is not great. The antenna must be part of the rear window defroster grid. They could have done better.

I think the AM section in the new radios is weak. I know the monster stations like KOMA in Oklahoma City are gone. When I was driving my 65 Rangoon Red Mustang around Oklahoma I would listen to Chicago, Cleveland, New Orleans and others. Now nothing.

Replace it with an antenna system for the convertibles. You will have to drill though

My Mustang has a little bit better reception them my last car which really sucked. So I'm OK with that. My Sirius Satellite has worse reception than any car I've tried it in. I play my own music though, so I don't care about satellite and will let it expire

I listen to a lot of talk radio, mostly the local ESPN channel, and I've resorted to using TuneIn Radio over BT from my phone. The AM reception in my Mustang is for crap.

Smart phones and bluetooth is one of the best things to happen to car audio. You can listen to anything so easily. You can also listen to CNN on the Tune in app. That costs money on SiriusXM. Anybody know of any other good news sources? I've already got alternative news sources covered. But major networks live stream? Or heck even BBC or RT would be great.

I wish I could agree. I think from an ease of use it is, but from a sound quality perspective it is horrible. My home stereo I was gifted from my father. It is a Marantz 2270. The sound quality is so good I cannot even listen to ear buds anymore. My girlfriend bought me a bluetooth wireless thing that plugs into the RCA jacks on the back, for my phone to send music. I rip my own music from records and CDs most of the time. high bit rates or lossless only. Sounds terrible compared to firing in a CD. Problem is, most people choose convenience over quality. I will agree on the amount of options though
