I asked a friend and he didn't know, so asked the guy who did the install and his answer was rather vague. He said the air vents had to be redone and it doesn't need coding to work but didn't answer my question about cable... My guess is that the dash harness is the same for all cars and this gauges cable is not just plugged into anything. He didn't mention changing the whole dash harness.Sorry for reviving this thread out of nowhere, but I got interested about your friend retrofitting the gauges. Can you confirm that in the EU cars we have the gauges connecting cable at the back of the infotainment? Did he retrofit them in European car?
It is a major "go / no go" topic for me.
Yeah, I did, lol... I was watching youtube videos last night till 2 a.m. local time for a bunch of guys dismantling the front panel for various reasons - then pause, zoom-in, and try to figure out the thing sits there...I asked a friend and he didn't know, so asked the guy who did the install and his answer was rather vague. Since you jumped the gun, let us know the details, it's in the back of my head too![]()
