Especially from the aerial angle, the car looks really wide. I hadn't noticed from pictures the s550 is really that wide. (measurements do say so though)

The car is REALLY wide. I was stunned, it doesnt fit in my garage and when we did the clear-bra on the hood we realized the hood was way wider than it was long (infact, its more than 6 feet wide!), which is pretty crazy given how long it is.

I too am curious about hearing how this Mustang got away. Was the FOB inside? I'd love it if the car shuts itself down if you go to far away from the FOB.

I mean when the tires are 4 feet tall and the lift nearly requires a ladder to enter the truck I think that's beyond "dually pickup" enough and more towards Monster Truck. It's not a Monster Truck really of course, but it's a lot like one to most people.

That's not a monster truck...that's a standard redneck pickup in Texas. Shoot...I have seen bigger trucks here in Florida. That's just bad reporting. A monster truck can crush cars and is totally stripped down with roll cage meant for competition. A raised pickup with some big wheels...that's just some redneck having fun with his ride.

My question is how did they get the Mustang? With keyless start coded fob etc, what did they do to defeat it?

You can buy transponder kits on the internet for dirt money (China, of course), connecting them to a laptop to unlock and start the car without the official key fob being anywhere close to the car.

Its a massive problem in Central London right now with pretty much any car with a keyless system. Mostly luxury cars, of course. Some insurance companies wont actually insure Range Rovers if you live in or near central London now.

Fords use to be easy to steal, my wife and I had a 2000 expedition and you could literally break into it by punching s slot screw driver 1" above the lock tumbler and push the screw driver down.
