Karen and Stacy have failed to reply when asked about the cause of the delays... as has Andy Barratt (UK Ford MD).
Collecting mine tomorrow, it was delayed for 6 wks in USA and 4+ wks in Zeebruge, no explanation provided when others from same ship made it to UK in only 5 days. My dealer is also very suspicious of the delays. It also vanished off the system for a few days....
I certainly haven't received any kind of 'Good service to date except from my dealership who openly admits they have no control over the process.
I'm looking forward to the collection checks I have planned... any issues and they can keep it, and legally we all have 14 days to log any issues and reject the car for a full refund or replacement.
Certainly hasn't been a fun, exciting or enjoyable process I was expecting when ordering a Mustang... more of a ball ache chasing people for clues then getting mislead at every stage.
Good luck everyone.... :-)

I have a paint depth gauge which I bought from ebay. its accurate enough to tell you the difference in paint thicknesses. I think I paid ÂŁ60 for it 3 years ago as I machine polish my own car.

Might be worth investing in one. It will show you on metal parts where the paint is too thick i.e. respray.

Well put Paul, that sums up my feelings exactly.

I had a reply from Karen yesterday, she explained that it arrived in Southampton on the 15 April (it was on the Tijuca into Zeebrugge on the 25 March), she explained that Southampton have 10 days to "load build"?? they are slightly outside that period now, and will be given the hurry up. Don't know where it's been in between.

It was originally expected in Warrington on the 24 April, I had made arrangements to collect this Monday, but who knows when it will be, hopefully soon.

Hope all goes well today collecting yours.

Hi Dwaine, I am picking mine up from Warrington as well and mine was in the same ship. They were trying to get it on the transporter today but it now looks like Tuesday or Wednesday for collection. I presume yours will be similar?

Hi, assume you pick up Wednesday, how long has it been since arriving in Zeebrugge? Just helps with my anticipated delivery date. Thanks

I recall the pain of waiting and lack of info. However remember its not the cars fault, it probably got bored waiting too ! So enjoy the pick up and fingers crossed the checks all work out. I will never forget the day i sat it in it and started it at the dealers. It did help of course that they had ripped out the old exhaust and put a SOLO one in which burst in to life on the first key turn.

I asked Karen for an update and got this reply.. now I'm getting excited!!

Hi Nigel
It reached Baltimore yesterday. It will now be allocated the next available vessel, which can take up to 10 days.

I shall have a look Tuesday to see if there is a boat name for you.

Kind Regards
Karen

So, what do I do when I have a boat name?

The Talisman is still going strong, still in the middle of the Atlantic as of this morning at 4am, and still on course for an 11pm docking at Zeebrugge on Monday night.

Thanks, I was thinking of asking you for an update :) As I can only see it still being near Norfolk, US! Can you do a screen print (zoomed out so not just looking at water!), just for interest, if not don't worry.
