Thanks for this. I have read the front page a million times, but I am missing something aren't I?

Once I am allocated a ship I can enter the vin in the cargo id. Does this open a whole load of new information?

Does anyone else have a Mustang sat in Baltimore right now?

Yes, just keep typing your vin number into Cargo ID part (say every day or two) and when it has been assigned a ship will come up with info. For now it may just say "records not found" or similar.

Mine took around 2 months from blend date to be assigned a ship

As one of the delayed "Tijuca-ettes" mine arrived in Maidstone today (28/04); as they have to fit front parking sensors and I can't get over to collect it until the morning of Thu 04/05 that's when it will be all mine

Then straight off to Ultimate Finish for the full Gtechniq CS Black treatment.

Yeah its strange I noticed some VIN numbers greater than mine had already gone maybe RHD cars for UK are loaded in a set order my guess is that yours will be on the same ship as its got a couple of days to load,Hopefully its been a long wait.

try knocking off some of the last digits in the vin, if you go 1FA6P8CF4H5 you will get a feel for where they are at with vin numbers / loading

I saw 1FA6P8CF4H531 as the highest number but most are 1FA6P8CF4H52

I finally collected my car... and I'm loving it :-) I identified a few minor paint and upholstery issues during the PDI but they has said they will correct in the next few weeks when convenient.
I strongly advise preparing a checklist (or adding to the one Steve made) as it's easy to get excited and miss a few checks.
I have to say the dealership handled my situation well and are as frustrated as I am with the poor process and internal communications within Ford.

Goodman Paul ,they are a great car I have the A4 check list from the site ready for the day and your right you are so excited but have to keep a cool head sadly we will all miss something on the day thats life but taking time and noting it down then is a lot easier than after collection same as renting a car so many people just jump in and don't bother until they get hit wit a bill on the return!! Did you manage to see the underseal if that has been done as there is an issue with it not being done properly.

One of the suggestions when picking up the car is to put on a ramp to check brakes, suspension and steering. Is there anything specific to look out for? Is this really necessary, surely you'll notice if something is seriously wrong once start driving?

Yes your right if its anything mechanical that will be covered but bad fitting body panels/trim I would mention also if the Garage is not helpful re seeing the undersea find a local one who will as there has been many reports to Ford UK about the underselling which is done in Europe at a huge location specialising in this that half the car has not been done i.e. behind items like EXHAUSTS a few I have heard have had a 3 rd party redo underseal but Ford are trying to get a handle on it I am Told
