Detailed Order Process (UK-S550)

Has anyone done a write up of pickup day, as in what happens on the day? This will be my first new car and I'm not sure what to expect so that would be interesting to read. Also is there an updated checklist for MY18/19s or have people been using the old one?

My dealer update on the 9th Jan showed my vehicle location as Baltimore, so it could either be on board, or being loaded on the next departure! ;)

Will look very similar to yours but with black wheels (Custom Pk 2). Still haven’t seen the colour in the flesh.

I had a sample card a while ago so wasn’t worried, it looked good. But when I caught sight of it this morning while spying on the dealer’s prep premises I was very excited. It’s got six weeks of dirt on it from half way around the world but it looks awesome. You could dive in and swim around in it! You won’t be disappointed.

I went with the white stripe too...was a bit concerned that it wouldn’t go with VB but it looks great in your pictures.

I’m a sucker for blue and white though (taken on collection day back in 2005!)

Still waiting too. I was hoping it would be with the dealer by the end of the week but I doubt that now!

Thanks Guys. Well it is in the showroom since this morning but unfortunately missing some of the options I specced. Waiting now for a proposal from the dealer to sort it out. Oh and very disappointed to find 44.5 miles on the clock already.
Does look stunning though, very pleased with the new Velocity Blue.

That's a pain, what's it missing and are they showing on Etis and the window sticker?
I don't think 44.5 is unusually high for 'delivery miles' but of course the lower the better!

Nothing major missing but when I ordered it you could have a performance pack with colored seats. A week later they rang and said that was no longer available so I cancelled. Later they called and said all the bits of the performance pack can be ordered separately and wouldn’t cost any more anyway so I went ahead. Now the special leather trim bits haven’t shown up and no one is saying if the dealer didn’t order properly or the factory didn’t build it properly. ETIS says vague things like door panels level 2 so until someone owns up I don’t know. Lunar stitching mentioned in Etis, which I assumed was silvery white to match the ceramic seats, but apart from the seats it doesn’t say where it should be. There’s none anywhere else. Not great after waiting 7 months for it to arrive.
