Almost 800 miles on the clock now, thanks to a weekend on the mainland. It gets smoother and freer every day, and Iām sticking to old fashioned running in procedures. I would urge everyone with a new mustang to be gentle, donāt labour the engine and donāt rev it much in the first 500 miles. it...
Thereās more to the story - when I was told the options had been changed after I ordered the car and I had to have a black interior, I cancelled the order. The dealer then came up with a plan to buy in a leather console and swop it over without me knowing. Thatās why the car was with them...
Mineās a week old already. Hereās some pictures to keep those of you still waiting for your Mustangs going, and for anyone who wants to see the Ceramic interior. Note my short throw shifter. It is transmitting a little whirring noise from the gearbox but seems to be less noticeable now than a...
Yours is a manual isnāt it? Can you hear the gearbox at all, mine has a sort of whirring noise. Very faint and might go after a while. Almost goes when it gets warm but only done 20 miles so far.....
MORE patience needed! Mine was built end Nov and I took delivery yesterday. It had been at the dealer for 2 weeks though, waiting for a short-shift gear lever to be fitted.
Not yet, only popped into showroom to see who was looking at it. It was locked and I didnāt ask salesman to unlock it in case everyone wanted to climb in!
āMust use standalone options where requiredā sounds quite straightforward to me, but mostly I relied on the salesman who promised in writing that the leather centre console and other parts would be included.
Besides what colour other than black would you want the centre console to be? As it has...
Nothing major missing but when I ordered it you could have a performance pack with colored seats. A week later they rang and said that was no longer available so I cancelled. Later they called and said all the bits of the performance pack can be ordered separately and wouldnāt cost any more...
Thanks Guys. Well it is in the showroom since this morning but unfortunately missing some of the options I specced. Waiting now for a proposal from the dealer to sort it out. Oh and very disappointed to find 44.5 miles on the clock already.
Does look stunning though, very pleased with the new...
I had a sample card a while ago so wasnāt worried, it looked good. But when I caught sight of it this morning while spying on the dealerās prep premises I was very excited. Itās got six weeks of dirt on it from half way around the world but it looks awesome. You could dive in and swim around in...
Interesting, I had 10 days difference but I donāt know of anyone else whoās dates donāt match. They have the wrong wheels on the sticker but the right ones on ETIS. Anyway it will all be forgotten the moment it arrives.
Miketango that sounds about right, mine was two weeks from build date to getting on board. Looks like weāre going to be twins, apart from your black wheels. I see your order date was just a week and a bit after mine, and your build date a month after (but with Xmas holidays in between)...
Sorry to hear that Steve. My build date on the window sticker was 20 Nov but the actual date, that later appeared on Etis, was 28 Nov.
Iāve heard some say that the options you choose can affect the build date but Iāve got lots of choices on mine and Iām going a little quicker than yours...
