Install some eibachs, buy some used brembos, and wrap your car...
Easily going to be a 4k hit...

I would tell you how much I lost on the v6 but I'll get flamed on here lol
I took a 10k~ hit on my 14 V6, let the V6 people tell me I'm crazy for not getting a Procharger and not being different, I don't care one bit :D

I don't think the PP is as big of a deal as it is made to be on here, it is a steal for the money and wish they had it with the auto's or else I would have gotten it
myself. For the hit you are looking to take you can make your own PP for a lot less. I think on a DD it is pointless honestly. Color wise though idk, what did you get to begin with?

Exactly - PP is a steal, but for most people it does not many make any difference regardless of what they think or say. Where it would make difference is obviously track...

Staggering that some people invest 40K in a car and get tired/ are not satisfied with it after 3000 miles...
Not to me. Driving the same car every day for what.. 5 months? I have less than 5k on mine and I'm ready to try something different too! :)

To the OP, you might consider selling your car to a private party and then buying to at least save some money. I would advise you to at least drive it a couple years, though.

Impulse control.
I remember a few months ago when people ordered their car, but couldn't wait to get it. Next thing you know they cancelled their order and bought one off the lot, even though it wasn't too their ordered specs.

This kind of things happens with people and spouses, too. Some people are never happy.

OP - Life is full of decisions, but happiness comes from within.

My dealer only charges 500 if I sell my car to someone and then let them handle the transaction. That way you get 3 to 5 K more for your car and can use as trade in and save taxes,

Depreciation on a newer car less than a year old have little effect on trade in value. My last 2 cars I traded in back too ford, a 2013 ford escape with 36000 miles on it in 1yr they paid it off what I owed and gave me an extra 3000.00 for trade in on a 2014 explorer sport. Same with buying the mustang. Its more based on your credit, incentives available at the time you want to make a purchase and your willingness to walk away if your not going to make a deal in your favor. Had to drive to LA to get the deal I wanted for my mustang when trading in my focus before that I tried 3 dealers they either didn't have it or wanted to low ball me.

I disagree. I always treat my trade as a separate deal versus what deal on the new car will offset my trade. A persons credit score has zero to do on a trade value. There might be cases in which a slimy dealership would take advantage of a desperate emotional purchaser who would do anything to get in a new car (i.e. accept a trade less then black book).

Yeh REALLY REALLY bad idea just to get a PP and color. Vinyl wrap the car and buy some Brembo fronts and do some suspension upgrades if you really want. Unless you're tracking the car you wont notice the PP besides the brakes; if that.

2nd, cold weather does not play well with the PP tires, they are summer tires. Prepared to spend another $1,000 on top of losing your butt on this on winter tires?

FYI. As a Sales Manager for a Ford dealership this is how I would put a value on your Mustang. Since there is no KBB value as of yet, I would look up the original invoice to your Mustang and offer you $4000 less than the invoice.

That's roughly what I saved with X-Plan and incentives at time of purchase. I got 1250 cash back and X-Plan, out the door at like 36k and change. Want my PP OP? Just kidding, I'm in love with my puppy, but id say you mod your car and wrap it as everyone has said. Would make better financial sense, but sometimes saving money doesn't make you happy.

OP- I'll sell you my PP wheels and tires at a good rate. That's half your battle of getting to a PP! Just lower it and throw on some used Brembo's. BOOM. You can always do a wrap, like stated above, if the color isn't to your liking.

You forgot the tower brace, the 3.73 Torsen rear, gauge pack inside, aluminum dash, upgraded radiator, and im sure a few more things here and there. But yea, other than that, you got yourself a PP.
