those who claim HPDE or autocross is NOT treated as racing better check some real world situations such as below. None of us have the legal backing to afford to go to court against Ford in order to claim that HPDE/Autocross is not the same as racing.

and here is a quote from Ford itself

"Take the 2015 Ford Mustang, for example—it has the Line Lock burnout-control feature, which Ford said is specifically geared toward owners who enjoy taking their cars to the track, but “using this feature in an actual race” voids the warranty."

This is why I'm stuck on getting a Mustang vs Camaro. Good luck to the OP on getting everything worked out.

I had a faulty puddle lamp they said they would cover it under warranty if i checked my car in. They would'nt pay for the part and give to me to install. So i ordered the part through work at a discount and paid for it installed it in 10 minutes.. not gonna let the dealer touch my car ever!!
I did the same thing with a faulty tail light. I told them to order it and i would install it. They said no of course. I was going to buy it from american muscle until i found out it was 1200 bucks. Anyway, took the car to the dealer to have it replaced. I told the SM and the tech not to scratch the bumper when taking the housing out. I was really nice about it and SM was like "dont worry this is my best guy." So they did the 10 minute job and of course they scratched the bumper. I hate taking my car in for anything at all. I should have put the painters tape down myself but would it have killed them to do it? Smh. Ford service is garbage. I knew it was bad before i bought my first Ford but they have exceeded my expectations as just not givers of fks.

No...THAT Dealer's service is garbage. I have used a local Ford Dealer for 20yrs and had MANY things done, some under warranty some via insurance and some on my dime(including scheduled service on 3 current fords). I have NEVER had a problem with incidental damage, NEVER had them deny a warranty claim (even on my tuned SHO), NEVER had them take excessive time....so I think Ford service is GREAT. Stop painting with such a broad brush and call a spade a space - dealers are independent contractors and YMMV on the experience. Them scratching your bumper is NOT Ford Corp's fault - its the DEALERS service dept's fault.

If you have issues contact Ford corp - they DO take complaints against dealers seriously, and if enough come in they can and HAVE yanked dealers franchise. Put the blame where it belongs people.

Go ahead and call your insurance company and ask them if they would cover you when you crash during an autox or road course event. At minimum they would probably laugh in your face, and at worst they would just straight up drop you.

Nothing about being on a race track or race event, regardless of it's categorization (whether actual wheel to wheel racing or an HPDE), is going to be covered either by warranty or insurance.

OP I would not even bother with such a small issue, and also I very much doubt they will "scan" your car and see what kind of speeds you did if you ever go in again with a small issue. You should just have said no to you going racing and let them go about their job. But you pretty much just buried yourself by admitting it. Now if you went in with a blow engine and trans I bet they will check, but a broken stud is not going to send the dealership into straight detective mode to figure out what you did.
Literally nothing you said should be listened to.

I had 18x10s, handling springs, sways and adjustable links when my inner tie rod boots popped off the rack making an accordion noise of popping. Local dealer I go to acknowledged it wasn't due to aftermarket parts, replaced under warranty, but did put note that repeat failure would not be covered as it had lowered suspension.

I was not expecting it to be covered.

They can decline warranty if there's probably cause or evidence that the aftermarket part(s) caused a premature failure.

Wheel studs failing is not one of those things. This should absolutely be covered under warranty. If you blew your engine because you botched a downshift, nope, not covered. If you tracked on very worn pads and you crash, nope, not covered. If your control arm fails on the track on a stock car, absolutely should be covered.

People buy track day insurance because your insurance nor Ford will cover you making a big mistake on track and wrecking your car. If a part fails that should not, it should be covered.

Probably not, but "well the geometry of the suspension was changed putting more stress on the studs." Or used aftermarket lugs or tightened too much or too little.

Question is how far to fight Ford over a $14 wheel stud than can be replaced with simple hand tools like a ratchet, sockets and a hammer.

I know they can and never said anything to the contrary. Since dealers are independent of manufacturer, they can simply decline to work on your car altogether for no reason.

FYI, not all insurances exclude HPDEs...

Better yet, if the OP tracks the car that much, he should upgrade to ARP studs.
This!! damn its just a freaking wheei stud. Want to run at the track then learn to work on your own vehicle.

No time not racing blah blah save yourself the head ache and replace the stud yourself.

This makes about as much sense as people without the the track package on the GT350s crying about overheating.

Want to enjoy track time and by track i mean push it at a track not on public roads then dont cry when YOU need to fix or repair something.

Little off topic but i hope ford wins the gt350 lawsuit people have filed too.

Want to race a car? gotta pay to play dont whine when warranty wont pick up the tab!!!
