I will hopefully be picking up my 16 GT CS in a few weeks. I am wondering how others have handled issues found during the delivery inspection. Do you make the dealer fix everything before you take delivery or do you just have them document the issues and have them fix everything at a later date? I am leaning toward making them fix everything before taking delivery so I think I should allow them a day to do this. Wouldn't want to expect to take delivery on a Saturday just to find issues that won't get corrected until the next week.

I would wait to see it in person then if there are issues let the dealer deal with it. Document it (if needed) with your personal inspection 1st.

You will lose all leverage once you take the keys and drive off.

I purchased my 2012 Focus with a scratch that I made them patch up before I left the property that day, but when my mom bought her 2015 C-MAX last year, there was a paint defect that she accepted the car with. They wrote it on a "due bill" and signed it, so when she came back for the repair, she presented the due bill and it was repaired without hassle.

As long as it's documented and they sign it, I'm not sure you actually do lose leverage.
